Do you mean the side light pod? You must have UK headlights sir. As they don't absorb the rays that discolour the plastic. Whereas jspec go yellow, UK's allow the light through impacting the pod instead.

Changed back because you weren't happy with the quality?
-
I've been the only person who's ever made them that I've seen. Only reason I noticed it. How did you wire the speakers in. In parallel with the door speakers? Or separate inputs to the stereo. Did you update door speakers as well?
-
Lovely looking interior. Condition is spot on. How did you get on with fitting the tweeters in the door panels. I'm re-doing my own doors and wondering if to go that route or use coaxial speaker. As replacing with 17cm. What kind of triple pillar pod is that?

My Supra - Progress so far, next steps and build thread
Noz replied to Peter P's topic in mkiv Supra Projects
As long as the paints okay to blend in. Mines a right balls ache mate! I'm re-doing whole side of my car as I think there's a difference in final colour due to days painted. Always liked how the rear looks blended too. Dark colours look okay, but most lighter cars do make the panel lines look a bit naff. -
Love a chancer. £40k because its an aerotop with low miles. Lol. Tempts me to cut my roof off.

I mean they definitely look more slick smoothed. I just suppose I always rear the worst of it being damaged. -
Did you wire up the airbag in the end
-
Afraid not. They usually get damaged sadly.

Loving look work mate. Surpised you've blended the skirts. Do look nice. Loving the carbon touches on the interior. -
Some run the car and limit the RPM / boost. Others would put it on a dyno at a given RPM and let it cover the mileage. I usually see people use the same end goal oil. Then drain it before power runs.
-
I doubt it would affect the value. But I expect it'll cause you some head ache if the worst happened with insurance.

I've never see the magnetic piece! I'll be up the unit later, I'll grab a photo. I'll pull it and take some measurements too mate. Thank you buddy

I've got one. Could post with the free headgasket. What's it worth man?

Isn't the higher boost level just highlighting the issuing whereas the lower boost setting isn't a delayed reaction its just not flowing enough go show anything. I'm going to start calling you Dr Mike soon. You love the technical shit and I have to admit it's always great bouncing off ideas and getting your guidance. Have to agree on the AR. I've not seen any improvement with spook using a lower housing.

I have a 52mm gauge pod. I removed the clock and formed a pod in its place. Any forum club discount

Sure someone was selling a 3D printed bracket. I'm struggling to position it without it looking terrible.

If anyone is building their own headlights and need anything (other than clips as I myself am looking) please let me know. Most of what I have is one off's or average condition spares, most of the full sets have been sold over the years (apart from my own back up set). But inserts, casings, brackets, rubbers, domes, let me know. I don't mind sending send for free as it's just spares and semi-condition parts. I do have a few lenses, but in poor condition really. Maybe good for someone making an intake project or something. Let me know guys, I will likely be throwing it all out otherwise.

Selling my backup set of lights (because everyone needs spare sets, but this is my only built set). Need space and selling stuff I don't use. Refurbed, sealed with butyl tape. Locator pins replaced with stainless steel ones. Locator brackets (which always rust) sanded and powder coated. I installed a 12v indicator halo behind the fog. Using a grommet and just wire the red / black to your indicator. Will need to add a parallel resistor in the circuit to ensure you have a constant indicator speed. As indicating speed is determined by resistance in your circuit. Which is why it speeds up when a bulb blows. Given lenses a polish. Few marks that could do with a good going over if I'm honest. But I've spent enough time and just want the space now. I'd recommend sanding the lenses back with some 2000 grit, as a couple of drag marks on the lenses. But the rest of the hard work is done. I struggled to emotionally disconnect myself from these lol.. worried my main set would somehow break and I'd need them. But, needs must! I use to charge more than the asking price in services to build something like this. But as they aren't perfect, I think 400 posted is a fair price. £400 shipped, insured.

Please! Someone must have some spare ones lying around.

Clear Lensed, Facelift Headlights with Stainless Headlight Rings
Noz replied to Noz's topic in Parts for Sale
16 minutes Didn't expect that. No problem. I'll get it done. -
Working when removed. Need to go bigger now, so this ones up for sale. Not new, but hardly done any miles. Been in a box waiting for a loving home. Cheap because forum is life. £20 posted.

In my previous venture of making multiple versions of headlights for my own car. I created a set of abflugs which were moulded into a set of Facelift inserts. This allowed me to modify the main beam opening for a larger diameter. I had planned to install a Q45 projector here. But due to Ibrar's black wide arch running abflugs and coming to completion before mine, I got disheartened to finish this set as I didn't want to be accused of being copied. Already had `experts` telling me I'd copied having wide arches anyway so the project was dropped. These inserts have also had a tiny extra added to the brow feature in the main beam central area. It's minor and you'd have to see it side by side to notice. These replace you're whole insert and have location points at the bottom. £150 Original Abflugs; Modified Abflugs;

So, as I continue clearing out my collection of car stuff I've come across enough spares to make a set of Facelift headlights. While also having a set of clear lenses. These lenses, are the type where you cut the fronts out the lens, then bond in the new formed clear lenses. Due to the attachment process, I'm going to paint around the edge of the lens. Now, when you don't do this, you can see the internal features of the lens. So I began doing it just before I stopped doing it as a business. I have some examples of what clear facelift lenses with rings looks like (notice the minor bump features along edging of lens): What the hell does a black line look like? I hear you say.... Well, I painted the line on my own headlights. To hide the bumpy features the line was added. Which look like this; It's really subtle. Most would hardly notice it. But due to the edging of the lenses being bonded, you need to cover that up. But you'll basically be getting this as a result, just with the black line. I'll need to gets inserts painted. I have rings to hand, as have a few last sets to sell. I think £600 is a fair price. If anyone is interested, I'll accelerated getting them put together.

Lucky you didn't kill an animal!! Great idea with the coils, I've not seen copper used before to be fair. What kind of pressures do you see in the exhaust? I read somewhere the 6870 isn't limited on it's exhaust flow usually, as in the exhaust housing flows quite well or maybe it wasn't the turbo's limiting factor. I'm only repeating what I read somewhere, so I'm just guessing technical information here. You've a 1.0 AR as well if I remember.
