  1. Headlights always let the car down. Someone should offer a service to sort that out. At £4k a set. That's taking advantage of customers.
  2. As long as its not a little 3.0 with a laggy turbo
  3. I nearly recommended Whifbitz for advice but I don't want to send someone to him to just ask questions. But glad you spoke to him, is he mapping it? My opinion is you won't see any issues `breaking it in` that you won't run into just running it. Whereas you can run into issues as soon as you boost properly so I think it's false economy trying to iron anything out. As you're more likely have issues boosting (assuming no engine build problems). Run it in on the dyno is my vote, he's mapping it anyway by sounds of it.
  4. Anyone have a spare ecu they don't want to throw in the bin please?
  5. I'd keep it maintained with a weekly polish. If clear coating peels or cracks you'll have to remove it and repolish. From a maintenance viewpoint I think polishing it probably better. You can get clear anodising though. Maybe worth a look.
  6. I'm sure the auto boys get more tired of hearing manual advice from people unable to afford such a car
  7. Its way better than "send it, is it a manual, is it turbo, is it 1000hp".
  8. Not the best route to go in my opinion. Precious completed sales is what I need mate. Not someone's opinion.
  9. Changed battery. No f.ing difference. God dam. May try and reset error code perhaps.
  10. Any link to his sale? Be nice to try and get my little NA-t value increased on insurance and dont see many NAts
  11. Yea tried the blasting with my repair charger. Sadly no luck. Friend told me you can get a drop tester which would be handy to have. Think it's best to swap it out though. You're right. First experience of an issue before total death with a battery, or charge issues.
  12. Curious to this so wondered what others thought. Yesterday my battery light came on. Checked the voltage while off, 12.6v. Hmm. No dead battery. Checked it while running. 13v+. So alternators working. I drove upto my unit to grab my battery charger and the light went off. Though came on again once I had stopped and the engine was still running. Nothing had been left on. So I got the pulse charger out for an evening of repair and charging work and came to the battery this morning to a non running voltage of 12.9v. Light still came on after starting the car telling me it needs to charge while driving. Not wanting the expenditure without a long drive. I've come up the motorway 20 miles and it's still on. Didn't turn off while driving this time. Having a meter with me. Checked the voltage. 12.9v. 13v+ still whole charging. I've not had a battery begin to die on me that still charges. Thinking I'll look around and buy a new battery but thought these values were odd. Unsure of how it quantifies a good battery aside from the voltage.
  13. Most kits look crap unless time to make them perfect. It's worth it in the long run. I look forward to parking mine next to a gt300 full kit for comparison.
  14. I doubt we'll have to worry about fuel in our life time. With demand being less, the price will either drop due to storage or go up due to covering costs. I don't think things will change for a long long time (regarding availability).
  15. I'd disagree bro. The bonnet gap looks a bit naf. And the gap on the wing to bonnet is terrible. Fitment of a kit in my opinion is more to do with how much someone's willing to leave it mis-matched. My gt300 bumper turned up wrapped up like carpet. It was deformed terrible even when I had propped it up. Paint is cheap, no idea why they didn't sort those buggers. Guess I'm anal about fitment. Especially when it's top dollar.
  16. Lol oh great. May love the wheels but hate you for doing it lol
  17. Sick colour on the brace. Always wanted lips of dish wheels that colour. Very nice indeed.
  18. Its called porsche atlas grey. But it looks more blue. Looks grey in direct sunlight.
  19. They are almost identical. But UK and JSpec have different shaped casing and lenses. You can't swap them over. UK have electrical adjustments too. They look so similar, but they aren't. The yellow pod will clean up fine just use some auto glym resin polish on the outside of the plastic dome. It's only a few micron thick and you must use a cutting polish in order to remove material as some polishes just glaze and fill in micro cracks rather than cut. I've cleaned a few up over the years, it'll come up like new with some elbow grease.
  20. Love dark metallic greys. The latest focus has a real nice colour. Mine was meant to be like that. Ended up with a porsche grey. Now the car looks bloody blue
  21. The fronts are available from USA or an Australian supplier. But both need bonding. They aren't cheap either from memory. I'll have a dig around mate.
  22. Facelift lenses were made using a different more UV fragile plastic. You could swap the lenses with the PreFacelift or buy a set of cut out fronts, where you use the OEM lens frame, bond it in, smooth and off you go. It's a right ball ache mind you. I do have a set somewhere if you fancied the challenge. I could always charge for the procedure IF I was able to even find them, if you didn't want the challenge. Can have a dig about if you like. Was your plan to fix the lights up and sell?
