I thought about this too. I connected the pull catch to the central lift mechanism, and moved the mechanism down slightly. Meaning I use the central catch to keep the bonnet locked. Pushing the pins won't do anything, unless the bonnet pull has been unhooked!

I can recommend using button catches. I removed my OEM bonnet catches. One was sticking, causing repeated cracking on my old fibreglass bonnet. Not wanting to faff with that anymore. Swapped to these. I was originally going to use the large oval type which I had purchased. But felt these were a bit nicer. More effort granted but think the end result is worth it.

I'd call it better than poor, considering more supra sell than z4. Officially its called a Toyota Supra (registered in UK not supra look it up no links needed). But who's being picky lol.

A90 supra. 2.61m Google results. For whatever reason j29 does seem to be used sometimes. But I think it's best to use A90. That seems to be the popular choice.

Ocdworks sell a modified compressor housing for most turbos. I have one of their own turbos. Which sounds amazing. I've ordered a 6870 with the T51r mod on it. Admittedly been waiting ages due to covid but always keep in mind you can mod the housing to sound just as good. My current 62mm with T51r sounds so nuts I wanted another.

I noticed the other day how I'd actually forgotten the fact we used to have to cope with an older clunky system. A bit of time has passed now and I'm surprised how quick I assume its always been this easy to use. The new forum has been a breeze to adapt too. I know there are plenty of threads about the change. I just wanted to show appreciation for the fact for users (in my opinion), it's been an incredibly slick transition. I've already gotten into my habits of where to click first, and what I scout for, each visit. I'm sure plenty of work behind the scenes continued once public discussion quietened down but it seemed so instant it was like we had never even had an older forum. Thanks to the people at the top who approved the change and a big thank you Mawby for managing the process and anyone else who was involved.

Friend uses the box for drifting. Not any help for ratios. He used it for to price and ease of replacing. Had 600hp on it. But. I'd swap it with an M3 box. Ratio's should be better and resale value of the car would complement your investment better. I'd prefer a cd009 box to a BMW diesel if you cant choose an M3 one. Stay the M3 route and then get an 8.8 diff setup from Grannas racing. Not the cheapest route. But could sort your ratio issues as think you he supports witj different diff ratios.
