  1. Thanks for everyone for the replies. It really helps me see there is indeed an interest. Moving forward, when the Facelift lights are all sold, I can see supply being an issue for us all. It would be for clear lenses and fit both prefacelift and facelift lights. Sadly not Euro spec glass ones, as these don't have interchangeable parts at all. I'm a bit tied up with work until end of next week, then I'm chasing this idea. I'll work out the details before I apply for a group buy.
  2. Be better to model it and machine it from nylon id have thought. Why not design the model and upload to the various online companies that provide cnc services. Instant quotes and low volume service.
  3. Would love to see what a very original cooler would look like vs a normal original intercooler
  4. Doubt you'd notice a 3" core really. Sure that would be fine for BPU. I had a cheap ebay job with no issues in my single turbo at 417hp. Trick is keeping cooler as small as possible but satisfying the hp target and not over sizing the pipework. Don't whifbitz also sell front mount kits?
  5. Catch deposits perhaps.
  6. Great collection of cars. They must have quite the specification just to get through the doors!
  7. Just send him a pm. His user name Is indeed keron on here. Hes pretty rapid usually at replies.
  8. Reis motorsport always a winner regarding insurance. Keron is the best guy for parts like that.
  9. Thought about polishing the fronts of the buttons to take the yellow off?
  10. Well, pretty much 99% of people who buy expensive stuff have never tried cheap stuff OR have had a bad experience. So I understand the reasoning from both sides. I think there are more tolerance spreads with cheaper stuff. So sometimes the odd mod will be required. Minimum effort though. If a manifold cracks, you just weld it. I braced mine and modified it to suit a vband wastegate. Then ported it best I could. I also rotated the wastegate outlet so I have the wastegate in the top side by the turbo. Machined the flange flat and it mated fine. Any basic niggles so easy to fix even in the off chance any thing does arise. But these mods aren't always essential or required, I just wanted to do it lol. I see all these twin turbo peeps running 264 cams and expensive parts to hit 600hp. I've a little NA-t and running STOCK cams hitting 600hp so it can't be that bad. No boost control issues. Another funny thing is my old T61 turbo, XS power ebay jobbie, been running fine (new owner at 400hp also) for NINE YEARS! Not related but mental I thought. Invest in the ecu and wastegate without a doubt. But manifold, down/midpipes, I've not seen anyone gain from spending out on that. I probably could have got away with a cheaper intercooler too. For much higher power it's perhaps better to have thicker sections for heat soak issues but where that limit is, I've no idea. It's definitely not at 600hp for a road car anyway.

    Idea Of Price

Spending a bit on this will net a huge difference when sold.
  12. 45 is indeed a large profile. 40 would be ideal for that width. Here's a handy chart for tyre width recommendations. https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/charts/tire-width-for-a-wheel-rim-size-chart Push the widest tyre you can fit is my advice. 9.5J isn't particularly wide so fact you're running then already is positive and no rub hopefully. Regarding tyre type. I've not met many people that have tried a huge range. Most seems to try a couple then get their favourites. So best to get the best you can afford. Making sure the compound suits your quantity of miles. Dont want to get soft tyres then wonder why you cant do so many miles. Lots of good reviews on here from people on experiences. Have a little search mate.
  13. Can't beat an Xs power manifold. 525whp no problems. Expensive manifolds are over rated.
  14. Yes, I have mixed emotions about it but I have indeed been thinking about starting it off again properly. I do the odd set for friends, but haven't really put any effort into making it a thing again. My ring supplier is slow, being able to make lenses as well would mean I could actually provide a service. I've seen a few people try and customise headlights and they should have stuck to tail lights
  15. These are some of the best lights I have ever seen in stock condition. Photos looking down slightly would be great. Just for more pics. Honestly think this might be the best set I've seen in my whole ownership and I've worked on hundreds of lights.
  16. Supras don't really need a catch can from what I know. Many fit them. Me included. But I ran one for much time without one. Even with one. It doesn't seem to fill up at all. Definitely worth adding a breather. You can buy cheap tiny filter. Just tap am NPT thread in the side and fit a barb to NPT fitting and it's a job well done.
  17. Great looking car. What was the end BHP?
  18. Is there a correlation to the film you watched recently
  19. Sure is. I find it's typically people with one form of income attempting to make a quick buck.
  20. I've turned down some tooling before for lenses, but it wasn't enough of a plug and play swap. Would anyone be interested in a replacement set of lenses? Facelift tend to have micro cracking and hopefully it would solve that. PreFacelift headlights lack the main beam projector beam displacement. I could perhaps create an aluminium replacement for this. Either way, interest would be good. I'm about to call some people I know to discuss the engineering side of it. Any sales would of course follow forum rules for group buy permissions. Just curious to hear peoples opinions on it. Edit: for reference. These would be clear only.
  21. That's ridiculous. I've been involved with tooling quotations and it looks like to me they are clearly struggling with a part of the manufacturing process. I actually had really high hopes for the headlights. I'm going to look at making my own lenses reading this. If they began making gearboxes or engines they'd be onto a money maker. But this is just silly.
  22. Exactly those please mate. The ones holding the lenses together.
  23. I don't have any insert clips I'm afraid, but my advice is don't overly worry about those. The lights won't rattle around without them. I've had a few sets arrive to me for refurb without them in, they left the same and nothing seemed any different. The insert position isn't that critical. I guess you have facelift lights, as prefacelift have a flange type surface and no clip, only direct screw placement. Reckon I've got some old foggies mate. Let me dig around later today for you.
