  3. Understood buddy. Just saying at the time of purchase. A same side cooler was way more than my little NA ass could afford vs the ebay kits.

  5. Its totally worth it if it saves money. People buy an NA because they don't have much compared to TT owners typically. I paid £160 for a full kit. At the time the cooler I would have needed was more than that without piping clamps or joiners.

  7. Not true bro. You just need to loop round underneath with piping. I've had two intercooler setups with OEM na intake. Op. There is no benefit using a TT intake. As mentioned you'd need to weld the runners as head spacing is different NA vs TT. It's actually the NA throttle body that's the bottle neck in the oem setup. Plenty of low cost FFIM for the NA but due to flow it's worth getting something decent. It's not needed and more money than it's worth. Below 500hp it's just aesthetics and not a worthy investment. It's also mega hassle.
  8. And comes with a warranty. Full kit shipped including clutch is similar to a v160 box on its own. Shifts way smoother too, watched a torque comparison on the shifter. The cast bellhousing reduces cost and better sound insulation.

  12. Can highly recommend air cups if you ever wanted a bit of lift without changing suspension. I often use them for car parks as well as bumps. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hows the wrap holding up.
  13. 25k would indeed sell much quicker than 30k. It's a really clean example, but top money sadly sells slower. Current market prices, I'd say 30k wasn't overly expensive. But, your situation would deem a little less would be better for the sale. If you'd take 25k I'd message dealers first.
  14. Do you have the interior to hand. And the oem spoiler. More photos be good. Think it's a nice looking car. But not sure about the price given what's been done to it. Not sure how long you've owned it. But a little outside the usual price range for NA manuals.

  16. Never used a restrictor on the ball bearing turbo I have. I could just fit a restrictor fitting instead then perhaps. Think ill check the drain pipe for certain after hearing that story!
  17. So, I still have yet to check my logs. May do this weekend (got some work to complete before Thursday so bit rushed until then). But with a rebuilt turbo, I'm thinking prevention is better than cure. I'm going to assess the turbo return line, maybe increase the diameter of the piping and fitting to eliminate any restrictions there. As I did only have an issue during missing a gear and bouncing off the rev limiter so any weak points hopefully won't be achieved but better safe than sorry. I feel like it's obvious and I'm just being a bit dumb here. And yes, I know I need to check the logs to try and understand why the seals went. I'll do it, pinky promise.

    I always use the bonnet personally. Not sure its a legal requirement lol guys off his rocker. He should have used Lux's 1000hp.
  21. Is it a leak issue or a full refurb issue. How do your inserts look. Have you tried covering everything with sealant.
