  1. A single build NA-T will typically give the same power as a purchased BPU 6 speed. NA-T is such a pain in the bum, and to get 400bhp you have to spend in excess buying a TT6 with all the installing, transmission upgrades and extra's which you `should` do but not everyone does. If you want to do it `properly` you should save and get a TT as this will be the `cheapest` option in the long run, reliability being a main contender! There's only one reason to go NA-T over TT to begin with, and that is that you already own an NA. if you havent purchased and don't want to part with your car (like most NA-T owners started out), SAVE!
  2. Just drove past my workplace, at the end of Pottington. About 3 minutes ago Stock wheels i `think`

  6. how come you have gone for tyres that are not as wide? maybe a dumb question, sorry if it is.
  7. awesome guys, should have checked nengun thanks for input. i knew it was abflug just couldnt find a link! i was originally after a standard 3 pod gauge holder, but i think they are too common, and considering all my other gauge holders are custom thought id go for something rare. need to find some 60mm gauges now as i've only bought 52mm ones.... whoops! thanks for the link RSME
  8. Really want one of these. know they are a bit `un-common` to say the least, but working with fibreglass in my space time you can really appreciate how difficult it would be to make one of these, so fancy something different :-) If I can't find one I'll go with the stock flush glove box replacement. I've looked all over the net, and even messaged a few importers (with no success). Please help guys
  9. photos of speakers? no front seatbelts? lol thats weight you kinda need isnt it?
  10. Why didnt you like them out of interest?
  11. You said 600 bhp for 6k on the last page? Now you want 450bhp with a small single? Mate I dont think you know what you want? A w58 will wet its pants at that power. A turbo kit IS 1500GBP, but that comes WITHOUT intercooler, intercooler piping, ECU (££££), air filter, headgasket. Its a turbo `kit` but isnt actually complete. Anything over 400 your need bigger injectors. Plus money to fit everything, or at least tuning without transmission upgrades. Pistons and rods? Bailey has nearly 600bhp and I don't think he has bought either? I could be wrong. If you only want 450bhp you won't need either of those? Unless you have super low miles, TT swap out and then BPU up to 400bhp'ish without a 6speed your limited. I'm going NA-T... but that's because Im stupid and like wasting money lol! Honestly my shed is STACKED with stuff that I've not even fitted yet. Still wonder if it will even be worth it...
  12. ur limited with turbo conversions as na auto gearbox wont handle as much as na manual.best bet is na-tt swap, woulnt recommend going bpu on that transmission though

  17. To be fair, he could have cost you a nasty penny or two. Due to the AA man trying to turn it over while belt BROKEN, I think the best course of action would be to get someone to take your head off and check your engine out before going any further. If you assume no damage has been done and start playing with replacing the belt things could just get worse. Considering the mechanic didn't notice the belt was broken, I would ring up the AA and ask them what they feel the chances are that his actions could have made the situation worse. You might be able to claim as cranking the engines without the cam shafts turning could be a really serious issue, and if it was the AA that caused it you should push to have them back repairing it. OR it could be fine. But I would definitely want someone to check my engine out first, just because you say he has tried to turn it over with the valves stationary. Trying to understand whats happening to your engine, if the belt is broken, the shafts won't be turning, therefore the valves would be in the same position regardless of the crack position. But if the pistons rise with the valves still in, there is a chance of damage? Either way contact the AA and tell them the situation and ask for their advice. If there is a chance the engine was damaged before the AA man even turned up, they argue the fact he mad it worse. This is just my opinion though mate, Im not a qualified mechanic, maybe someone else will have a better insight into the situation :-) Keep us informed!
