  1. good spot dude. paul has a walbro 255 at his already i forgot to add this. il update the list
  2. Gooood Morning all. Having my kit fitted SOON, all booked in and ready to go. Rather than bother mr whiffin with the list, I wanted just to post everything on here and make sure I was covered for all the bits I need. I also thought posting my list on here might help other people who are new to NA's and considering the plunge to go NA-T. I've done the parts on a budget, when everythings running I'll replace things but I didn't want to whack out on expensive turbo's and wastegates without the confidence my engine won't wet the bed. So here goes... T61 Turbo (with Gasket) Oil Feed / Oil Return (upgraded lines) Oil Filter Sandwich plate Oil Cooler Kit (oil filter kit, cooler and heavy duty lines) T4 Manifold (2nd hand with no cracks) 3" Downpipe 4bolt wastegate with various springs (5,8 & 12psi) and screamer pipe (this will be first thing to change tial) 4Runner dizzy cap Turbo Blanket Intercooler (with piping already cut and measured for GE engine) 4" Single Turbo Air Filter - bought a 3" air filter as need to use a 4-3" reducer, 4" single air filter for sale!Blitz BOV (this will be for sale once I get myself a HKS ssq) 7mgte 440cc injectors Resistors for injectors Ultimate Emanage (lume, 3bar map sensor and small black box - barnybrendan reminded me to get this but have since forgotten its use) Engine Oil HKS Boost Controller Blitz Turbo Timer Oil Catch Can (with clips) Tisses when it all goes wrong lol Oil Filter BOV Pressure lines 3" to 4" reducer Oil Catch can oil feeds Catch Can Oil Lines To buy: Fuel Filter (after conversion) To check: correct BOV flange on IC piping checked, using samco hosing fits perfect Already fitted: Stage 4 clutch (lightweight flywheel for good measure). Spark Plugs: BKR7E's (6097) - recommended to another NA-T member by Ryan Supporting component part list: A decent exhaust (2.5" Catback full stainless 8months old, sorted - 3" would be better but beggers can't be choosers ) Gaskets for DP, MP and Exhaust (Sorted) Nuts/Bolts for DP, MP & Exhaust (Sorted) Oil drain adapter for the turbo (Sorted) Oil drain adapter for the block (Sorted) Oil feed adapter for the turbo (Sorted) Oil feed adapter for the block (Sorted) Heatwrap for the manifold (Not using heatwrap) Heatwrap for the downpipe (On the to do list) Heat wrap for the feed & return lines (As above) Silicone hose joiners (Sorted) Clamps for all the joiners (Sorted) Plugs for any unwanted feeds (water/oil) (Sorted) Weld on flange for BOV (Sorted - Silicon Hose Tee) Circlip kit for attaching BOV to weld on flange (Sorted - to do list) Clutch Fitting Kit (Flywheel bolts, Release bearing etc) (All new, fitted with clutch - release bearing does NOT come with competition stage 4 kit, it doesnt fit, NOTE!) New manifold studs (Sorted) Front main seal (Next few parts I would highly recommend) (Will add to the do-to list) Cam seals (Will add to the do-to list) Water pump (Will add to the do-to list) Radiator (If yours isn't spot on you'll be best getting one) (Hoping to get a whifbitz radiator and twin fan set up after conversion, an item i've been thinking about recently funny enough) All service items (Colder plugs, air filter, different oil etc) (Oil Sorted, Fitler Sorted (buy one next week), Got recommended (Ryan) plugs will fit before conversion) New Crank Pulley (Highly recommended, you don't want this going on you) (Will add to do-to list) New Crank Pulley Bolt (Will add to do-to list) Timing Belt (Will add to do-to list) Aux Belt (Will add to do-to list) Power Steering Cooler ??? Turbo to Manifold studs/nuts (Sorted) Thermostat (Best to replace) (Will add to do-to list) Packing seal for anything that needs re-sealed (Will add to do-to list as i find out what is required during conversion) Loctite (for anything that is recommended to be loc-tited) (Garage) Breather Pipes (will add to to-do list) Breather Fittings (As above) Welded cam covers ?? Vacuum lines (Sorted) Turbo Blanket (its already on the list got one with the manifold ) Gauges: Boost, oil temp, oil pressure. Am considering getting a AFR gauge after conversion. I dont want to look like a space ship I'm just trying to be cautious with readings from the engine as I don't want it to die. More of a confidence thing most of these. Paul has gaskets, apart from air filter reducer I think I'm there guys? Any input appreciated as I'll need to order the remaining bits ASAP before I do my london trip Thanks EDIT: parts updated.
  3. love that kit. looks real nice. not many of these going around either. its good to do your own thing, and WIDE ARCH is the way forward, picked a nice kit.
  4. Check all ur wires maybe youve pulled one of the connectors out of the clip. Check for any damage on the dash. maybe something was caught during removal.
  5. So out of interest, if the 400bhp NA that uses a 312 duration, wouldn't he be using too high a duration for the performance required?
  6. has anyone ever tried designing more shapes?
  7. probably for the best dont want to get anyone stranded. any other ideas wile for days out?
  8. oh i see! how stupid of me. is running a single turbo going to have the same pipe in the required directions? plus i have an overhead intake, so the pipes need to travel back round the engine?
  9. when will you be fitting them? be good to see them on there, people may change their mind. i think they will look nice mate, ive seen wheels over £2k not as nice, aside from a clean im actually jealous you got them so cheap!!
  10. i beleive the 320i was one of the first cars to go against this, as some of the models are a 1.8L
  11. they look nice IMO. good clean up and your sorted. just want to let you know that your rear tyres aren't big enough. safety first
  12. as soon as turbo arrives in post making the calls to book it in to get fitted, as soon as its running il ring him up and send stuff over. gloss finish on the intake would be nice. need to make an effort with my engine bay if ive got a conversion to show off! you got any pics of shiney bits fitted?
  13. i dont have any to sell mate, i only have my intercooler piping which ive never considered doing before. how much did he charge to get those done ooooOOOooo they look shiney.
  14. dont put pictures up and tease me lol you know i want a set of recaro leather speeds dude if they write it off and its mateys fault, claim the money and repair it 100%. if you get 4 grand then you could repair it and get the archs fitted and respray it. sorted?
  15. Hi all, I know some of you guys have painted your intake manifold and other bits (ScottM need your adivce here to dude as you had yours done) and was wondering the best and easiest way to do this. Don't want sand in my engine and didn't think the wire brush method would do it justice (could be wrong). Want to try and tidy up my engine and ideas would be appreciated on this. I dont trust sand blasting at work for free by the geeza that has a drink problem, so any cheap'ish ideas and suggestions welcome. Thanks

    Na-t build

What kinda boost are you going to be running dude? EDIT: seen your comment regarding 6-7psi. Assume your using standard injectors at that pressure? I'm sure you could run safely at 8psi with a good tune on stock compression. I've been told you have go just over 9psi but on standard compression its not recommended for long runs.
  17. keep us informed. still cant beleive this happened! like i said when i called you after it happened, the recaro's should be sold for safety reasons lol
  18. Driving to the Alps would be awesome. I'd be up for most of the other trips (UK) shown there mate.
