  1. Its been fine until I had a leak from the throttle body, I always assumed it would be lead or spark related. I will change the leads and clean the plugs up, I'm using Spark Plugs: BKR7E's (6097) should I still be using 1.1mm gap as recommended for NA or should I reduce the gap? I'll try and change the coil Martin if these ideas don't work. Then I'll try the rotor arm.
  2. Am interested in the modifications required to run more boost with stock compression 10.1:1 and Stock head gasket. More a point of chat rather than my next target or my next purchase. What would be required to run higher boost to reduce det, I'm assuming better ECU management would be advised? Maybe water/meth. Would lighter internals put less stress on the engine to do this? I've tried searching forums and doesn't seem to be any higher CR values with 400+. I'd be interested in if a stock GE could hit 500hp on stock HG. Maybe new ARP bolts would help/? Just throwing some ideas on how someone would do this WITHOUT dropping compression (pistons would be the easy way out).
  3. UK Spec supra's have enough of a following to warrent a register, you don't seen many genuine veilside or full abflug supra's knocking about in comparison.
  4. You can grab an XS turbo pretty cheap mate, be better than spending out the cash on a 2nd hand one floating about simulating Precision status. Jekyl had 500 out of his T61.
  5. I had a leak from the throttle body after I changed the plugs and it's not run right. I say leak, it was more like a flood. But sorted that out and it just hasn't run right since. Almost like water still in one of the chambers and the plugs aren't sparking right. Yea using a 4 runner mate. I shall make some enquiries to new bits, what a PITA I'm so close to 400 I can smell it
  6. Yea Ryan said about that, I was thinking about trying that as well. Thing is, I get the miss even at tick over.
  7. Hi all, as some of you know since the conversion it's slightly missing. I did have a water leak day before so it's not because of the conversion itself. Took my loads of bits off tonight as trying to solve this missfire mystery out (if you own a TT you don't know how lucky you are without that overhead intake manifold!!!!) Ryan suggested checking resistance on the leads, so here are the resistance values I've NO idea if these are correct, he did comment and say you need some resistance but didn't say how much. Are these values what I should be reading, are any super high possibly causing the miss? 1. 10.22k 2. 7.18k 3. 10.29k 4. 9.47k 5. 12.03k 6. 13.94k Though I haven't seen the values when it was running, chamber 6 has twice the resistance of chamber 2, that can't be right, can it? I will try and get a set of 2nd hand leads and see if that makes a difference (grasping at straws), after that should I try the ignitor or should I try the dizzy end and maybe get a new rotor arm? Thanks
  8. Builds looking good mate. Keep the pics coming.
  9. Try the iridiums and see how you get on. A nice panel filter (blitz - keep stock air box FTW), double decat and a 2.5" stainless cat back system may bring your car back to a healthy out-the-factory figure. I done these to mine before I had a dyno run and hit 220bhp which I was quite pleased with. A FULL service with these small upgrades will help to get the best out of your engine. Try all these before you start to consider any expensive alternatives mate.
  10. sand them down, and spray them black or silver. you could always get a spray shop to get these sprayed professionally if you dont have the confidence to do this yourself
  11. A good selection of supra's pushing 600+ have syvecs traction control and wide rears, i think you under estimate the supra because of its size
  12. The nice width of the car makes you feel like your driving something special. Not every car is so wide and so long, its just something different. Everyone has different reasons why they love these cars. I was looking at skylines at the same time when I bought my NA, I was looking at the GTS-T's as I wanted a 90's spec RWD, and when I was unsure which car to buy so compared 2 pictures of both cars, thinking about being in the Supra won over anything else. They are pretty reliable, depending on how you treat them. But the blocks are pretty bullet proof. Do the right modifications and you can push whatever power you choose. DaveH on US forums ran a 7.77 on an NA-T, showing how strong the blocks are thats some serious meat!
  13. Well I can't drift, so I would have to call in the stig I'm afraid!
  14. Heres the video guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HepaV98dKRM& not much flutter on the dyno was when its road worthy its flutter crazy!
  15. Id love those pistons in my NA-T. 11.1:1 would need some serious water meth injection and a syvecs ECU that would be crewing the road up!

  17. I do indeed, only a working one. I bought a non-working controller of someone on the forum, I've messaged him but not sure what the next steps are really. I didn't even have a lume What one do you have?
  18. you really want those cams back dont ya mate lol
