  1. Good video mate. Maybe you could make me one sometime? You should get some in car footage of you driving for sure. Do you always rev your engine when it's cold

looks sweet mate. where did you get the blue plastic to go over your odometer if you dont mind me asking
  3. Noz

    Ebay advice

EDIT: If the item has arrivd but they have returned it they should be liable. If the package didn't even arrive then it would be your fault, with no return address.
  4. Just need to find out where to buy one now then.
  5. Check you haven't pulled a wire our by mistake on one of the connectors.
  6. If you buy it, I will help you fit it. I will take pics of where Mine is fitted, and show you, so you can fit yours as well
  7. catch can is good to help the engine breathe. a worthy mod and its very shiney
  8. Do Uni. Your be able to spend more on your supra in a couple of years. What you spend on a Supra now, may reduce the amount of money you can spend on it in the future, and other things like a house I think you would be better career wise to take the option. There are many people who don't have the opportunity to go to Uni and would rip your arm off for that chance.
  9. I'm not purely looking for an extra 25hp through using a trumpet. I'm sure a boost controller will get me there, I'm just looking at small options that will help me, considering I would like a trumpet anyway, I thought I would ask the question about using it on a dyno.
  10. I can understand the concept of why having a dyno run of ##bhp if you run less bhp, but im just looking at all options so i hit that magic 400 number. Ryan did say that without the misfire and better fuel it would of been easy to hit 400, but better to cover all areas. i dont want to use super fuel i think that is going a bit mental. im hoping to have water/meth installed as well thats as far as il take it with fuel additives. that and running 99 octane. my 373bhp (with misfire) run was done with octane 95! I don't want the dyno adjusted, that might fool my mum but its not gonna fool me. i might as well of stayed NA and got someone else to pull the dyno for me lol. Mitchell do you still sell the trumpets?
  11. Because it's a power acheivement for my engine, I'm not going to gloat I pushed an extra few HP when I didn't even run an air filter, it's just nice to know I've pushed that on the dyno with a trumpet that I will use as a show peice when I get my engine looking nice. I don't want to speculate the maximum power I could have, I'd rather just know on the dyno the max run was ###, typically on the road I run ###. If you didn't print the run, the power never happened. It's about reaching as high as possible as I know I won't be doing many more power modifications. I'd like to be as happy as possible with my last couple of runs, its a personal acheivement with the modifications I've done so far, it's not a power race or pub talk figures. It's purely to get as much as possible for my own personal benifit. I've never owned a car with such power, so I'd like as much as possible for my print out on my wall at home before I start saving for a house. Every little helps. And 5hp means alot when you've spent alot of cash trying to hit a target. Tell that to the guy who had 995bhp, to me its the same thing, a goal is a goal, I want to reach it.
  12. I was just considering this for the dyno run after mapping, just as a final power run to try and make sure I top the 400bhp mark. Its a 500 mile round trip to the dyno for me, and the whole aim was to reach that figure. The reason for setting myself this value, was so when I reached it, I was concentrate on other things such as body work and interior, I don't want to forever be chasing power and this is the only way, to set myself a goal and to reach it. I would hope to be hitting 400hp with a boost controller anyway, but I want to give myself every chance of that. I know I'll be running on slightly less with a filter with it mapped as such.
  13. I know a few guys are running turbo trumpets, was just wondering if running no air filter actually increases HP. Clearly restriction on air flow will be less, helping the turbo spool, but will it help the power output?
  14. That was my thinking. The trial rear is a nice bumper, but its a bit too pretty looking for my liking. The do-luck looks nice, but it doesn't fill the gap enough. Think this would look nice. Just need to find one at the same time as pennies are floating about.
  15. I try and do my best for you mate. We are a team you know. lol
  16. Rog, your just running the diffuser. I'm considering this option but want to keep my veilside spats.
  17. http://www.aemelectronics.com/tru-boost-boost-controller-gauge-757 Just watched the video, explains how to activate the gain feature and keep the wastegate shut. Recommend's keeping it 3psi less than intended psi, this I assume it reduce spikes. I have a 7psi spring, and hoping for 10psi, to fingers crossed I can set it as my spring pressure. Sweet Thanks for recommendations guys.
  18. It seems logically to get the tru boost controller at that price? Low cost, good manufacture and allowing spool up time to reduce. SOLD Now, if only I knew where to put it!
  19. Do you think it's worth spending the extra pennies for a gain featured EBC, I mean would it make a huge different to the dyno graph being able to shut the wastegate until pressure has increased to set value, would the difference be noticable at 1bar and less (I'm probably looking at 12psi max).
  20. just found this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AEM-THRU-BOOST-GAUGE-TYPE-ELECTRONIC-BOOST-CONTROLLER-/290389153821?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item439c8ad81d pretty good price to be fair, haven't seen one this cheap. EDIT: so I need an EBC with gain feature then Scott? This will help spool, so I assume its a decent consideration. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JDM-SARD-Trigger-Boost-controller-EP91-SW20-trd-evc-/350261154260?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item518d3111d4
  21. I would love one of those looked at them before, but not up for spending that much money, they aren't cheap. Good advice scott thanks. A star as always I definitely want an electronic boost controller, manual isn't the way for me. I have seen some extra features on boost controllers like RPM and gear boost control and though I think it's great, for me I just want to run a standard boost controller and learn the feel of my car before I start improving things, even though the traction may suffer with a lower model. I assume the boost controller will increase the boost coming in, as it keeps the wastegate shut until it reads the correct value, rather than opening slightly, you must increase the performance of the turbo as you use all the pressure rather than loosing it out the wastegate while the spring slowly opens. Thanks guys
