  1. Get some funky colours on the wheels mate.
  2. You can run well over 400bhp with the stock intake and throttle body, staying non turbo you will not have any problems with your throttle body. You will have to get a custom designed intake to work the same as the OEM intake, and not be positioned like the FFIM currently on the market. You will struggle being NA to find an intake that isn't FFIM or OEM that will work as well as the OEM and not loose you power.
  3. Ive installed the PC software. For some reason, when I go to settings >> wireless and network >> I can not find kies mode, nor can I figure out how to change the mode to allow to connect it. can't find it in the menu's anywhere Kies via Wifi - is only setting I can use
  4. Afternoon all. Was just doing some usually water/meth research and found this guy had done a dyno experiment using water/meth at different levels and then introduced NOS. I found it interesting, thought others may also. Its on a diesel engine, but I still found it interesting not seena comparison dyno before. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5031667-My-No-Horse-hit-Water-Meth-Dyno-Experiment
  5. I currently do not have wifi on my work computer, they are including this later in the year. For the time being, I would like to connect it using the usb link. Kies air is a wifi app, any usb connection apps? Thanks for pointing this app out, i will be using it at home for sure.
  6. Guys, wondering if anyone knows of any software to control the phone through the computer. With my old HTC I used to use Mymobile and use activesync and it would just pop up, I can't find any software for the Andiod. Any ideas,
  7. Depends what your future plans are. A front facing intake manifold for the NA does look nice, but because of the design unless your forced induction you don't get ANY benifits, and might even loose power. The OEM intake has a torque increase valve, which will also be removed. Because of the way the air is split in the OEM manifold, your stuck with replacements unless you have the same design with a different manifold, which would be pointless. David P has a different over head intake manifold, but thats a custom made unit. ITB's are not worth the money. They sound and look pretty but bang for buck, your be down on power compared to an NA-T and will cost twice as well. What is the problem your trying to solve? For what reason do you want to replace it.
  8. Resetting ECU faults was the only thing I could think of. It actually solved my engine problem which was running too lean and misfiring. ECU reset and the things never run better. Was wondering if this was the only problem that could be solved. Seems that it is
  9. I like it. Not my style, but think it's a nice modification. It's better than some Supra spoilers I've seen going about. Big weird square things that people seem to be styling. GLWS
  10. Apart from lightweight pistons, what other components is required to help lighten the internals for increased RPM as well as uprating the valve springs.
  11. What would a requirement be to need to disconnect the ecu to reset it.
  12. Can't wait to see it, looks mint.
  13. cheap turbos are cheap copies mate, but doesnt mean they are all bad quality. unless you pay big bucks you can only hope that it lasts
  14. that ebay turbo should be fine for those power levels. that should spool quicker than the T61's that are flying about.
  15. I wouldn't recommend trying to GTE your GE engine with different bits. Aside from lowering compression you can use components designed for the GE. Buying the turbos will be more expensive than buying a single turbo and cheap manifold. Which lately people claim are not failing as much as older cheap manifolds. I'm sure you could make an NA a twinturbo, but would be easier to just swap the engine. The man hours to replace the head to use the turbos wouldn't make it worth it.
  16. Evening all. I'm looking to get my intake components anadised. I am unsure of the process, and have emailed a few companies. Before the process, I will carry out a hardness test, so I can do a before and after to see how it affects the component. The intake is made from various peices, I assume the 6 branch and Y peice are forgings, and also the throttle body. Does anyone know if the throttle body and other intake pipes are the same alloy? And if there are any files on the material specification? Would be nice to know how this could be affected through heat treatement, being a forging they are soft as cake I would imagine.
  17. Loooks nice mate. Yours cars a friggin minter!!
