  1. I've decided I'm going to try and re wire the fuel pump supply and earth. Nothing else I can think about right now. Ideas welcome.
  2. Guys I'm really starting to get frustrated with my situation now. I've had my third fuel pump die within a couple of weeks. Initially I had contributed it to a bad pump. The fuse had melted some what after a spirited drive and the car runs at a consistent 2k rpm without any movement from the pedal, upon which it dies and won't fire up. Then a bad filter which was considerably blocked. The new one blew through much differently. Felt I'd won the fight. Now I'm sat waiting for someone to help me push my car into a drive on my third pump die. I admittedly smelt almost burning 10 minutes beforehand. Checked the car over. Assumed external. Still could have been. I have a show Sunday so will see if I can source a replacement shipped over night. But I'm struggling to nail it.
  3. Ah yes, the whifbitz setup? I used to always be paranoid about my dizzy, turned out was also my Emanage then my head seals.
  4. If you're doing 600hp, then don't even change them. My GE rods are just fine at over 600hp. Get new, they aren't that expensive. A piston rod combo isn't going to break the bank. It's the labour cost in engine building that's the expensive part.

  8. It turned out it was the fuel pump. Grams. 320 lph. Annoyingly.. the new one just failed. Any advice on what fuel filters to use. I'll get a new pump but likely change the filter too. Cleaning the contacts I'm hoping may also help. Really no idea why this has happened again. I'll be travelling with a spare pump soon

  10. I remember buying lights for around £90. How times have changed. I've a bucket full of these little things. I'm in the wrong game, clearly. Anyone else seen any Ash tray type items for sale lately with a price tag?
  11. The pump turns on. Hits 4 bar. Then dies. Will check the pipe tomorrow. Thank you for that idea.
  12. I have a suspect fuel pump failure. Its a grams 320 lph. Aem do a version. Would it be a safe assumption I could swap manufacturer. I know there would be some variation but I'm hoping it would be minor enough to not worry.
  13. Ah yeweeah. Still find it odd the pump fires up then dies. @Mike2JZ would a faulty pump still be able create pressure then die?
  14. Update. Fuel pressure drops off after a momentary 4 bar. Suspect fuel pump!
  15. Last night car got stuck at 3k rpm and because unresponsive. Sadly having to arrange recovery this morning. As long as its still there kf course It feels electrical as if the throttle body just disconnected. Have an electric throttle. Car then proceeded to not start. Any off the cuff ideas?
  16. I actually built those filled prefacelift. They looked awesome. But rears condensate just as bad as the fronts. This would make a great purchase for someone wanting some spares. Thanks for the mention @Annabella I hope your fronts are still good bro @The Raven

  18. I'm usually against titanium exhausts and didn't expect to comment. But considering I actually really love that sound, massively surprised mate. Admittedly it's a video but sounds awesome mate.

  21. Haven't been on much lately. Nice to see work is still being chipped away at. Look forward to seeing this locally Darren. Coming along nicely. Really enjoyed seeing the injectors tested.
  22. Did you ever do a comparison before and after on a flow bench or something. I'd love to see a side by side dyno plot of the same head vs oem head. Lots of work to do that. But would be awesome to understand the true benefit.
  23. How did you define the tooling path for the porting. How did you define what best profile to use. There's a pocket I think on the NA. Maybe vvti. Did you consider this? Is there a diameter you followed. How did you program the tooling path of the oem port in to follow is on a gradual angle, ensuring you kept a gradual change of flow inertia for the air flow. Very cool you've done it yourself buddy.

  25. Looks nice mate. If its pushing decent power consistently I'd consider 30k but of course depends. Only because I think it'd be nice to have a proofed gearbox. The 66mm turbo probably a bit big for most wanting to run on a rebuilt without being forged. Keep it mate. You'll miss it!
