  1. Definitely share any information or opportunities for a group buy for 4" or 4.5" cats. I know realstreet had a 1000whp with a twin cat setup that sounded sensible. This is the way forward. Would rather somewhere reputable than some eBay 4" and then still have emission problems.
  2. These are all good pointers Scooter. However thinking back to the op's post and considering what the end goal is, I think respectfully the NA is unlikely to notice much if any difference. Therefore focusing on ratio's is probably better advice than swapping to a more expensive LSD. So I change my opinion rather than LSD vs Open, to whatever ratio would give the best drive; especially if you've already defined it. When mine was 370hp, I used to drive the open diff seriously hard and never noticed an issue. So I suppose from that viewpoint, the open isn't that bad at all. LCD is just a preference with higher power or seriously hard driving.
  3. I went from an open to an LSD. I didn't notice a huge difference in driving, if I'm honest I've never noticed any difference. If you had a choice of either, I'd go LSD. I've had wheel spins at 80mph on full boost and the car controls well (no traction control) and doesn't feel erratic, though obviously not as straight as you'd like. I do remember an open diff snatching a bit when I lost traction though granted at 420hp this was at much slower speeds. If its just to get you started, I'd use whatever diff you can get your hands on. But LSD is the preferred choice in my honest opinion.
  4. Oh wow. Any links. Not heard of them. Didn't know they even made any. I'd love to compare all the high ends manifold flow wise. Especially from a pressure viewpoint. Be so cool to compare them all.
  5. Yeah man. Past 800 it gets a bit WTF regarding cost. And capability
  6. Branded. I ordered a 6870 from ocd works some time ago, but they are having supply issues and then quality issues. They can make me a 6851r. Which using their 68mm inducer and compressor, with the same 70mm exducer wheel on a 0.96AR (I had ordered a 1.0) exhaust housing. It utilises a Garrett dual ball bearing assembly. I can wait, or just go with this. They've had people hit the same numbers on R35 and RB30's so I'm going to go this route now. Then sell my 6251R turbo (or lend it to a friend for his V8 turbo conversion to trial). Was just thinking what to do build wise, without going E85 if I fit the new turbo, and keep current exhaust manifold. I'm leaning towards just going fall beans into a build. Just weighing up my options bro
  7. Curious what people's opinions or experiences are for maximum hp on 99ron only. Knowing that e85 would take a typical 68mm turbo, 6870 as an example, 1.0 AR and HP compressor housing 3" outlet etc etc, touching on 1000hp though I know it drops off during to flow capacity. But thoughts on what capability they have. I'm guessing around 8-900hp. As my current 62mm can do 750. So anything below that would be pointless on swapping just yet. Though I've seen some 68mm's spool real fast.
  8. Very cool. Not seen the isf box used. Because you'd have two then lol. Didn't know could map in the current box setup using syvecs. Srd been doing that long then
  9. Compression test? Sounds like a plan. I get oil spray come out the breather on my catch can. Meh. Juddering at low speeds. Fuuuuck smoke pisses me off
  10. That feels pretty insane. I suppose if you enjoy collecting rare stuff. For me condition or over all functionality is more important. But then I'm a poor NA owner so we seem to think differently
  11. How did mapping the vvti gearbox with syvecs go mate?
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong. But you're talking more about component damage that block damage. If i rebuild it. With all new parts. None of that matters then really. Its only block integrity I care about currently. Had it rebuilt mate.
  13. I remember him going out in the wet wondering why his 3.4 didn't grip with traction control LOL bought an R35 after that. Whoops. RWD fail.
  14. Good shout on the plugs. Will have a look. Maybe I'll see something on the logs. I need to learn how that shizzle works really not played with syvecs. If only I had a friendly guru who could help Smokes on idle. Not on startup. Only when warm. I have a spare block. Why will it scrap it out of interest.

    MOT FAIL

Sure its not horn wires. Just tell them it never had an airbag.
  16. Haven't driven the car since to be fair. But usually crusing speeds. Haven't had the new tyres at speed yet to be fair bro. Oh wow. That would suck. Engine out next year. Until then, I'm not checking those ! lol

Did it ever have an airbag?
  18. The biggest contributing factors will be the front bumper. With spoiler being second. Wheels, mirrors, bonnets, skirts, barely make a difference.
  19. Car reviewers now and just acting and some of them don't even know what parts of the engines do. I don't find those interesting. I'd get a mag spread. And attend some shows with as mentioned, a video of the event and some A3 boards up explaining the car. YouTubers mostly drive sub 500hp cars and act like they're 7 years old in a formula one race car, in every single car.
  20. It's okay. I can hold your hand through these situations.
  21. More simulation work I suppose, but yeah this is the only instance I know of someone getting scientific.
  22. Anyone aware of anything that's been done? I completed quite an intense bit of digital analysis on two 3D models of a Supra. An OEM model and a modified model. I have been meaning to write it up to share with the forum. Curious if anyone has done anything else. I got an academic grade of 76% for the report which I was quite helped with. A handy forum member on here helped me a sh1t ton. For which he is yet to be rewarded (it's in progress still mate, promise!). There were a few things to OEM I couldn't sort, such as wheels on the OEM model. Changes vs OEM were bonnet, body width front/back, whees, exhaust and front bumper design. Side skirts maintained shape to body with minor change at body connection where wider. I won't include the WHOLE report as that's likely a bit boring to most. But here was the contents. I could summarise my findings if people find it interesting.
