  1. Ah cool. Well. I'm adding a vent in the back now too to help fogging. I might starting painting them myself again now weather is warmer. Bit difficult doing matt when it's cold, can cause paint to go milky.
  2. Holy crap. You're right. You know my setup better than I do my bad. Thought vvti would need ignitor. Clearly just got excited with vvti parts as I'm going to the dark side
  3. Because its a ball ache. I'm still doing the odd one. My painter is the main issue. He takes fking ages. I'm going to offer a few last refurbs. Got a few more sets of rings to sell before tooling gets handed to their new owner so thought I'd offer a refurb at the same time.
  4. That sounds so much fun
  5. Test fitment Worth a go for the beys
  6. Agree, prices have slowed up. Maybe they've stabilised. I think it'll continue to go up. But slower is better.
  7. Any thoughts on what's needed for a rebuild. Block will only see 750hp max. Could use oem but while it's open parts are cheap so thought might as well. Is it worth just doing rods anyway?
  8. @Delboy52 didn't you buy these
  9. I'd build another. I have the same mindset if someone offered me silly money for it. I'd go make another one.
  10. Have the lights had any damage on the fixing point. Be interested if you have a price in mind. I'm converting to vvti. How many miles has the ignitor got on it please.
  11. Makes me sad to think people use them less due to their price. It justifies spending more on it for me. I don't understand the oem thing. If its modified and returned to oem then painted, its still modified in my head. If I were investing in an oem setup, I'd want it original. Not, looking like an original. I think people should enjoy them still, if they are enthusiasts. Don't see many builds these days, just price hunting or part searching.
  12. Half way there mate. Glad to see progress, even if it's parts sourcing.
  13. But we all know NAs are way better than twin turbos. So much so, that people remove the twins as an upgrade
  14. Surely would make it easier? Are you assuming higher rpm will increase flow enough to get more power.
  15. Awesome review. I think we should sponsor you to stroker the engine one day. Stay away from boost. So friggin cool That would just be the cherry on the cake for me on this build.

    Oversize valves

Anyone have some experience / opinions on this. I know velocity would be reduced and everyone gets excited with the technical terms with theories without data. But different opinions found on supraforums. Some head porting firms swear by bigger valves. I'm not looking to port my vvti head. Minor polish work only. Though some say the bowl before the valve enables larger valve gains. I've decided what valve train gear I'm buying and just making sure I get valve size right. I know the Summit racing dude with 2kwhp in the red supra & 3 fuel rails, uses oem sized valves. I'm not looking for insane power. Insane to me is anything over 1100whp. My gut feeling and findings online is that it's probably not worth having larger values for anything below that.
  17. UK spec have the reverse light and inner light swapped. Something about fog light having to be distance away from rear lights I believe.

    Headlight Rings

I have a set of Face-lift rings for sale. I'll have some prefacelift ready in a few weeks. But for now. I just have one Face-lift set. Ready to post. £150
  20. Probably because be owned an NA-t Search his username. Drjekyl
  21. They've done a few conversions for people on the forum. Not heard any issues. The owner Craig has helped me out time and time again over the years. I've always heard positive things from people who has used him.
  22. I've written in depth about the manifold subject many times. While many budget manifolds will do the job. My conclusion is just get the best you can afford. I prefer wastegates in the bay. Easier to access. Imagine the back pressure on cylinder six. Which is worst any for gas temperature. This looks so cool. But it's such a rubbish design
