  1. i know, after week long waits on the first two replies youve ignored my last two emails i work in london 8am to 8pm so phone is difficult, just need a price really and then i can get them sent over to you while car is with Matt getting FMIC fitted will email you again tomorrow, but back to topic, someone buy THESE wheels, theyre great!!! (sorry for hijack Paul)
  2. no two wheels are the same, especially with work wheels, i had a so called expert look at them and tell me they were welded but, going on what paul has said it doesnt look like they are. (and if welded they would be a problem because one piece 12 inch wide wheels dont fit a laithe properly, theres a whole ongoing saga with my wheels you see) Anyhoo, thats why i asked...
  3. Cheers Mr. PW truely excellent wheels by the way, i bought mine new for just under four thousand pounds, so bargain for anyone with arches big enough!!!
  4. Did Paul get them done with Ibrar? thats strange, Ive been talking with Ibrar for weeks and you'd think he would have mentioned it if he had refurb'd the same wheels recently?
  5. (Slightly off topic but free bump) Paul, did you refurb these wheels? i have a set the same (but 18 x 12 on the back) and i have been having a nightmare trying to get them re-done, the last place said they were welded split rims so couldnt be taken apart and couldnt be done as a whole as they were too big for the laithe. would you be able to let me know who or how you managed to get them sprused up please?
  6. Does anyone have a spare plastic cover for the positive terminal of the battery connection that i could buy off them? mine fell off and ever since I've had battery issues. TRD bonnet holes + rain + uncovered battery terminal = click (when you turn the ignition) Ive tried halfrauds but they dont stock em, ive also tried various battery covers but have yet to find one that fits my battery/terminals.
  7. how much did they value it at? theyll try anything, they wanted to value mine at 8K from 13K last year!!! love that colour BTW
  8. Sky have come back to me and agreed a valuation of £13K same as last year so good news! Many thanks to everyone that took the time to write positive comments or provide information, this thread was integral in getting Sky to agree a fair value.
  9. just spotted this, nice... same colour as mine as well http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1235203.htm
  10. i agree, I was surprised they questioned the £13K as i already thought it was low, but i need examples if possible, or views of like minded enthusiasts (thats you guys!!!) so please post oppinions,
  11. he sold a non genuine black one with 100K miles on it for 12.5K i think, but i need links to the for sales yeah it was Ollie i think, but not up to him he need proof for the underwriters...
  12. hi all I'm having the annual agreed value debate with Sky, TRD wide arch fitted facelift TT supra with very low 40K miles on the clock, 3K work meister wide alloys, lots of nice stuff on it had it agreed at 13K last year as per http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=164976&highlight=TRD+wide (with pics) over past year shes been garaged and has done less than 1000 miles, had new greddy FMIC, new fluidyne alloy rad, full A and B service etc. this car gets treated better than my other half! ...and sky want to value it at 10K this year, which i think is a bit low! does anyone have any links for TRD supras sold recently so i can show sky this thread and get them to re-do their sums please?
  13. every year i get a higher than last year renewal from sky, so i call A plan, get a quote thats about 120 less then go back to sky and they match it, give A plan a call,
  14. same paint as mine http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=82752&d=1223195344 i had glass headlights but changed over to facelift, the darker colours work much better i think, mine gets called chavvy its the paint, but i like having a different colour car every time i look out of the window, whatever you do someone will hate it.
  15. you have my sympathy, for all the stress and expense that lies ahead... i still have rear quarter sinkage related psycological issues. seriously though, you wont get much change from 10K for kit, fit, wheels and paint, i spent over 15 getting mine right.
  16. the guy who made them said he couldnt guarentee they would go through an MOT just to cover himself, as far as i know a few sets have been fitted and had no MOT problems. its in the link i put up, theres a set going in the for sale section if you hadnt spotted them...
  17. Gaztt made them, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=101240&highlight=clear+lense+fitting but you had to butcher your existing lights to get them to fit, i have a set of the lenses that i got gaztt to fix to some existing headlight lenses i had, i paid gaztt 120 for the job (still got the emails), plus i had to pay 60 for the second hand lights that he used. The advantage being you can just replace your existing lenses and not have to butcher them so if something goes wrong you can change back. Anyway, i never got round to fitting them, PM me if you are interested, i can send you some pictures etc.
  18. probably because he is worried he will get in grief with ebay for doing out of ebay dealing which they discourage. i got a set on ebay about 6 years ago and they have served me well, i distinctly remember having to bite the bullit and pay $30+ shipping. then they arrived in a tiny box with $12 for shipping on the stamp! and i wasnt happy. presumably he doesnt want to do a bulk buy because he makes $18 extra on the postage for each one he ships seperately
  19. i bow out to the phantom dutch bidder, let me know if he/she changes their mind
  20. bad wheels and v bad spoiler, ...sorry, but i LIKE the paint, (ducks for cover)
  21. are they too shy to post? ...bah, I'll give you 40
  22. I'll throw in a picture of the look on my other halfs face when she finds out I've bought another broken headlight to sit with the other five in various states of diss-repair in the garage, if that'll seal the deal? LOL
