  1. Ah fair enough, at least that confirms the non discount price is as it should be. If we can get an idea of numbers i will see what we can get. I'd like to think they would give a decent discount for ten pairs, but we would need to see if the demand is there. I have contacted Homer and am waiting for him to get back to confirm this is all ok with the modz. It might come to nothing or the discount might not be worth the hassle so i cant promise anything, but its worth a go if there are people out there wanting the headlights and there are no better deals.
  2. or do you mean toyota quoted 400? if so i will give them a ring
  3. yes yes, thats because its not the group buy cost, if we get lots of people they will discount.
  4. Nic doesnt get them anymore though, and when he did i thought they were £450+ I'm sure he will correct me if im wrong. Only place i know of to get them at the moment is from Wiffbitz http://whifbitzperformancetuning.co.uk/toyota-supra-lighting-c-42_47_835.html Which works out at over £700 The £490 above is for one pair, if we did a group buy the price would be cheaper. If someone can get them cheaper then please share.
  5. oh arse, I had better do that. I had a word with Paul on a thread on here a while back, the LH is 100 more than the right strangely.
  6. Would anyone be interested in a facelift headlight group buy? I have been talking to Mr. T today as mine are a bit tatty, they are comming out at 490 including delivery for one pair, which isnt a bad price IMHO (See below for part numbers etc). 1999 TOYOTA SUPRA (JZA80-ALFSF)SZR JPN LB 2JZGE TWC MTM 6F 81135 UNIT, HEADLAMP, RH81111-1B231 JZA80..LB 1 £245.65 81175 UNIT, HEADLAMP, LH81151-1B231 JZA80..LB 1 £245.65 They said they may be able to offer a bulk discount so if anyone is interested stick your name down and i will go back to see what they can do, it goes without saying that more headlights means more discount, but dont put your name down unless you are actually keen to get a set, theres no point in me getting a price based on 10 sets then only 5 people actually paying up. I havent done a group buy before but would guess once we see whom is interested it'd be a matter of confirming a price then everyone making payment direct to Toyota.
  7. you can get little solar pannels that connect to the battery and help maintain the charge when car is sat around, i have one on mine and it works quite well,
  8. Parkers will cost a few quid but will give you something solid to reference (you will need year of manufacture not year of import), it should also be lower than autotrader prices, they tend to value on the low side which is presumably better if its for estate/tax purposes. Sorry to hear about you dad. :-(
  9. If its for estate valuation i would use something like the Parker guide, you want to use the book price which would generally be the low end, rather than a higher valuation i would guess.
  10. I have had mine agreed value with Sky for 5+ years now, I know it used to be they could only continue agreed value for those that got when they did, but they 'might' be able to do agreed value to new customers with imports now as they are using a different insurer, (was on phone to them today). Probably worth giving them a try if youre reading this and want agreed value because you'd have a job getting it anywhere on an import supe. oh, and LWIB came out cheapest, got Sky to match but plus 80 odd for the agreed value, worth the extra IMHO
  11. LWIB came in £30 cheaper than Lynbrook, still no agreed value though, i would say try Sky, LWIB, Livingstones and A Plan, they come out miles cheaper than the rest for me.
  12. moneysupermarket/go compare etc. are useless for modified/imports in my experience, i did a search last week and the lowest was over double my renewal, youre better off with a specialist modified insurer or broker,
  13. I know what you mean! We'll see what LWIB say. Purity, i think ADS said how much they quoted him earlier in the thread.
  14. No agreed value, at least not with the insurers they found for me, they are brokers so presumably it depends who they use. Waiting to hear back if they allow you to maintain/build NCB, it is on the draft policy proposal they sent so i think they will. They were 200 pounds cheaper than Sky though! Still waiting to hear back from LWIB, I will prob take the cheapest quote back to Sky and they will match it if previous 5 or 6 years is anything to go by, better the devil you know...
  15. i wouldnt reccomend traveling a long way to a paint shop unless they are good enough to get everything perfect first time (which would rule out a lot of them), if theres things youre not happy with that need sorting its a long way to go back, i got mine done in newcastle when i was in london, then ended up having to travel up there 4 or 5 times which was a real hassle and expense, and the twonks still didnt manage to get it right.
  16. if your paypal is sourced from your credit card you may still be able to claim on your credit cards protection, im trying to for something else at the moment because paypal are useless, if its non ebay and something arrives paypal can wash their hands of it according to their policy,
  17. did my wheels land with you yet ibrar? 12" wide work meisters on the rears, so nice and wide,
  18. why dont you see if you can pick this up Rob? there might be some people interested, im half considering it myself, depending on how much you can get them for ...but shouldnt be since i have a perfectly good set of facelifts on the car (but not shiny new) and another set in bits in the garage that i cant be arsed putting together!
  19. subscribed to thread, ive been considering this, would be interested to know how much your guy can do a not quite so close a mates car for (i.e. mine! lol) and interested to see pics etc. where is he based? i like the matt black, and think it might look nice on a TRDGT3000 widearch.
  20. nice! wecome to the rear quarter sinkage paranoia of TRD ownership!
  21. never ever EVER buy a TRD kit, if you want a TRD supra sell your supra and buy one with the kit on, then you can avoid the nightmares, or most of them anyway and it'll work out a LOT cheaper.
  22. anyone is old enough/sad enough to remember the garage in the first pic?
  23. black, ...then midnight purple, ...then flip blue, ...now flip green
