  1. Ive got that paint! my advice would be to go for something not too expensive and easy to blend, assuming the rear quarters are bonded on and could (if youre unlucky) sink, I know mine have, ...three effing times!
  2. the supe at the beginning bears a striking resembalance to mine, ...which is about the only good thing about the film!
  3. blummin hope not, ...but knowing my luck!
  4. its worth an extra 50 miles to get someone trustworthy! i used to live in guisborough just down the road from middlesbrough, ...i'd go to envy mate.
  5. to be fair, i probably p*ssed her off because i was behind her waving her forward because she was blatently blocking the entrance with loads of room in front of her and i was blocking the main road because she wouldnt move forwards and let me past, so hopefully she was just annoyed, and wont see any point in claiming for the worlds smallest scratch, that i still maintain i didnt do, oh i dont know, you live and learn i guess, next time ill just block up the road and let everyone behind me wait...
  6. i cant even see any disruption to the layer of muck on the prius, but it is dark
  7. i didnt even look! company car, its covered in scratches anyway, i doubt i'd be able to tell if there was a new one, good point though, ill go have a look...
  8. yeah could be that she wont claim, if she did theres no proof the scratch wasnt there before, so surely its her word against mine isnt it? i shouldnt have thought whiplash etc could be claimed, because the (lack of) damage would be enough to show it was a tiny impact, (if any)
  9. dont think cctv would help, itd only show me getting very close to her bumper and waving franticly to try n get her to pull forward.
  10. just been to BP garage in company prius, im trying to get off the main road into the station and this dippy woman in a giant toyota saloony thing is sat on edge waiting, my (cars) arse is still sitting out on main road so i pull in (slooooooowly) as close as poss behind her so traffic on main road can get past, i felt no contact, but she jumps out sayin ive hit her, (if, and i mean IF) i did it was at about 0.1mph and like i said i felt no contact, anyway, i got her to pull in, and there was a tiny scratch, (poss even just a mark) on her rear bumper, she insisted on gettin my details so i gave em, now im brikkin it that she'll make a claim, itd be on the company policy, (so trouble) and last thing i need is a claim to declare on my supe insurance, so if she does claim, can i deny touching her, or would i have no chance? any advice gents? (and ladies)
  11. i would have thought stones/speedbumps etc would be more likely to take it off than vibration, why not just get one of those front lips that go under the front Bumper, bomex do one i think, and they look almost as good as aftermarket bumpers once painted.

    Sky Insurance

phone jay with your best quote and 99% of the time sky can beat it. (dont just phone for a quote because it wont be great) where insurance is concerned theres no such thing as a 'professional outfit' imho and as far as having to ask for jay goes, at least you know youre talking to someone that knows his stuff, 99.9% of the insurance phone people know v little about modified/import cars. A plan give excellent quotes, and have a guy simmilar to jay that knows his stuff, but they wont do agreed value.
  13. ive got 2 facelifts from the car but one got scratched, so got a nice new glass pair, since then ive got a new plagi lense for the facelift, so was gonna go back to facelift n sell glass, but if it can be done, facelift glass might be fun, ...it'd go with the custom clear facelift lensed colour matched rears! (brag mode: OFF) LOL hmmmm...
  14. boo, i thought youd done facelift innards with glass lenses, i might have a go at the glass lense on facelift innards since i have a couple of spare sets, are the glass lenses difficult to cook off? ive done the plagi ones a few times, but not glass because im scared of shattering them. (particularly if they shattered in the oven coz id get a thorough beating off the other half! lol)
  15. add me to the paid list matey, just paypal'd through id copy the list in, but that'd just get confusing...
  16. dont ask!?! lol its only the 3rd, ...4th time. i should get a badge or something. lol i 'will' get it right! same colour this time, just sorting out some unexplainable imperfections/reactions under the laquer, hence the suggestion that this nano laquer might help.
  17. ...well im getting it! ive been getting a chemical reaction under the paint that they cant explane, so its gettin re done n im gonna try this. ill be sure to report the results! frikkin robots in ma paint! lol
  18. is it worth an extra 300 quid though, 'that' is the question. ...totally interesting stuff though.
  19. my paint shop guy just offerend me nano technology laquer? ...which apparently repairs its self of minor scratches imperfections etc. does this stuff exist or has he been inhaling paint fumes? initially i thought, no chance, but ive seen self cleaning windows and liquid pool covers which use a simmilar sort of principle...
  20. are you nearly done with the nob polishing then paul? ...sorry, couldnt resist. :-)
  21. try nik import pimp, he gets oem stuff cheap in japan. it might work out cheaper to buy here with the post on shocks though. theres a few toyota garages thatll do you a discount if you say youre from the club. do a search.

    18" or 19"

19s if you want it to look good on the drive, 18s if you want to drive it. do a search, the 17s/18s/19s debate has been discussed by plenty that knowwhat theyre talkin about, (myself NOT included, lol) 18s are pushing it, 19s are silly was the consensus i think. its all down to preference, but 19s WILL mess with the handng.
  23. i know what you mean about lugging suspension around mate, i had to send my JICs to US for recon, 22kg approx, then my yellow billies n springs to ireland when i sold them, just over 28kg. so 6kg difference, id say thats a fair bit, maybe not so noticable on a lardy supe tho! lol. it was chris wilson that warned me off the hks, he said hes constantly finding problems with them teins or those gaz suggested sound best, JICs are more expensive, im surprised by wez's comment, why dont u find the JICs good for dayly drive wez? im very very happy with mine, - like a go cart! lol
  24. coilovers are a fair bit lighter, and take up less space under arches, (for wider wheels). JIC magic coilovers are the best all rounders if you can find a set. the longevity of the HKS ones is debatable, and theyre very stiff even on softest setting i have heard. tein are very good from what ive heard too. shame the electronic adjustment only does stiffness not height else theyd be ideal for speedbumps.
