Yeah, if you dont mind the ‘nice TVR mate’ comments every time you're out its great!

Colour is different every time you look, its like a personality, if you wax enough you get a really nice green, if you dont it gifts you with purpley pink! it needs a respray in a sensible colour really (microbubbling), but hard to justify the cost given how little it gets out.

Been out polishing and haven't posted pics in ages so thought I’d bang a few up. Apologies if Im in the wrong section, (and for next doors bins! )
  5. Looks like this was a problem with the cable that plugs into the auto box if anyone is searching in future.
  6. (Ive tried taking dash off and disconnecting everything, air spray to clean and reconnecting but no joy)
  7. Are thor still on the go? My speedo and odo have stopped working, it was intermittent for a while so Im thinking wiring/connections to the converter, its a thor speed (km to 200 mph) and revs (10k) converter. The revs still work and the speedo still picks up from rest on the little needle to 0mph when you turn the key, but no movement when you drive. I am also getting the overdrive off light flashing (its a 97 tt auto no vvti) Any ideas anyone? Or any wiring diagrams for the thor converters anywhere?
  8. Anyone know of a good garage near High Wycombe that’ll do a service MOT etc, all i get on a search is a load of bad reports of a supra sales place Cheers
  9. Had a few questions re what i resealed with, i just heated the original black gloop, then went over with some waterproof rubber sealant, the sort you can just peel off. Shouldnt be hard to clean to start again. As Gavin says its not an easy job, its a project, however, its a shed load easier than starting from scratch with the clear lenses, the really tricky part (cutting out original lense front and gluing new one in) has been done, it should just need resealing. It was too much effort for me though, so i just bought a new set of facelifts.
  10. Pair of facelift headlights insides have been resprayed black, and the original lenses cut out and replaced with the rare reproduction lenses from this thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?101240-Replacement-Clear-Headlight-Lens-(Merged) I paid 150 for the old facelift headlights, 80 odd for lenses then 80 odd more to get the guy that produced them to fix cut the old facelift lenses and fix the new ones to the frame of the original lenses (its a pig of a job!!!) from memory... I only had them on my car for a few months, and it didnt move in that time so the lenses are perfect and unscratched, however i hadnt sealed the lenses to the headlights properly so moisture got in, there's some bubbling on the painted facelift innards as well as can be seen on the pics, plus some dust etc has got in as theyve been in garage a few years, This is a project for someone that has the time as they need opening up, the innards sanding and respraying then cleaning and putting back together properly/sealing properly, if someone has a couple of Sundays on their hands and a lot of patience they could have a new looking set facelift lights unlike other facelift lights. No idea on price, I'm open to offers but I'm guessing somewhere in region of £200, Collection preferred (near Gatwick) but I will post at cost
  11. i have a set of these clear lenses with the tricky work done and bonded to a set of painted facelift lights, (you have to cut up the original lenses its a real pain to do) they need properly refurbing and going around seals with sealant to be watertight, but the actual plastic lenses are perfect, i got sick of faffing with them so bought some new facelifts. if anyone wants a project they could have a very rare and unique set of lights, pop me a PM if you want to make me a decent offer :-)
  12. thanks Chris, very kind of you to say
  13. Any other opinion’s/comments, all are welcome, even if they disagree with the above estimations, more the merrier
  14. thanks for the replies James and Listy, any and all other opinions welcome (apart from "50p because I don't like the paint") (also thanks Dunk), was your agreed value with Sky? Has the classified ad you had up gone? as i think that would really help
  15. I could do with a bit of help from some 'like minded enthusiasts' Looking to agree an agreed value with Sky, I wont mention any values but I will say that Sky have valued my Supe at 33% less than the agreed value last year, hence the lack of agreement, I would like an idea of approximately what you think a 'like minded enthusiast' might pay? She's a 1997 P Facelift TT Auto, Full Service History, Very low mileage of 45,000 miles (I have owned for past 10 years and have only done 10k miles, garaged and had her serviced every year) Kit is a TRD 3000 GT wide arch full bodykit from the original mold, fitted by John (Dude) and he did a good job Paint is a purple-green flip (not everyone's cup of tea), but a good job Wheels are Work Meister S1 3P deep dish with 315's on back (still got receipt for £3700) zero scuffs Mechanically kept quite standard JIC adjustable coilovers UK brakes front/rear RLTC GREDDY 3 row FMIC Fluidyne Radiator Cusco Strut Braces Front and Rear Apexi Exhaust Interior Original TRD Steering Wheel Custom TRD dials Bit of chrome on dials/knobs/gear stick/handbrake Otherwise as Mr T intended. Last similar Supe I know of that sold was Dunk's TRD 3000GT earlier this year which went for £10K, it was a 93 auto and had 100k on clock i think, but not sure of rest of spec, does anyone have a link i cant find it? There's a couple of TRD kitted supes for sale out there, but more heavily modified http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?291007-TRD3000gt-single-6-speed-Aerotop http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?295482-White-big-single-6-speed-TRD-Widebody-Aerotop And there's a couple of sub 60K mileage supes on Autotrader but not TRD wideboys http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201306267503443/sort/default/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/model/supra/make/toyota/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/page/1/postcode/rh15at/radius/1501?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201308308548110/sort/default/usedcars/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/model/supra/make/toyota/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/page/1/postcode/rh15at/radius/1501?logcode=p If anyone knows of any low mileage TRD 3000GTs for sale could they post a link here, and any opinion’s on value would also be welcome. Ta!
