  1. Why not put it through confused.com to find out what premium you're likely to get on it?
  2. Doesn't sound quite right to me either - he's saying the damage was done 'at some point in it's life', but if he had bought the car then he'd have been sent a letter telling him he needs to go for a VIC for the log book to be issued. The fact he says the damage was done (generically) 'at some point in it's life', suggests he knows little about the history of the vehicle. I might expect someone to admit to saying something along the lines of 'I bought the car, found out it was cat C, but never got around to doing a VIC'. He could, however, simply not have been bothered (I did something similar with an Escort I knew I was going to scrap), or there is something a little more dishonest going on. I'd steer well clear personally.
  3. Yep. I think there was a piece on fifth gear about it. They had asked a mechanic to change the bulb as quickly as he could - ended up with him having to remove the wheel (I think) and taking another twenty minutes or so. EDIT: here we go: Also, I notice that's a 2008 car, don't know if it difers to the model you're getting?
  4. Try replacing a headlight bulb if it goes
  5. I've got a deal sort of agreed with coyote - if that doesn't pull through then I'll certainly think about it He'll let me know whether his RA is ready to go or not tomorrow.
  6. Just had a quick snoop around - couldn't see one that cheap (£35) - will certainly keep it in mind though. Thanks for the recomendation.
  7. That would explain it then! Good luck with your sale
  8. Nice car, I'm sure if you're realistic when it comes to offers then you'll do well. On a bit of a side note: are there any manual areotops? Everytime I see one advertised, it's an auto.
  9. The week after next, I'm heading on a bit of a road trip and plan on taking a sat nav just incase I need to find something, end up broken down in the wilderness etc. Anyway, I haven't bought one yet due to all my miles being around places I know, or motorways. If anyone has anything they're looking to shift, let me know. I don't need anything fancy, just something that comes with a cigarette charger and something to mount it in the car with. I don't want to pay a lot of money either, after my week away it'll probably end up never being used again! I thought I'd ask here before buying off someone on eBay! Cheers, Josh
  10. I wouldn't - simply for peace of mind. Like, I expect, most of us on here wouldn't buy a second hand turbo off just anyone. Companies like British Gas often have a scrappage thing going, where you can get a new one for a discount - might be worth a look?
  11. I can't imagine recruitment is any more difficult than selling anything else - houses, cars, boats, sex workers etc. Selling, afterall, is nothing more than a transfer of enthusiasm. Like property, however, it is seen as more of a 'profession' than a 'job' - meaning you can spend a lot of time getting it right, before figuring out that it's not what you're after. Josh
  12. they look like PS1 graphics!
  13. Not the biggest fan of them either. Maybe you forgot to tell them who the 307 is made by? Clearly they assume it's a Lamborghini...
  14. Either go back to the pedigree of the first one, or just stop making them...PLEASE!
  15. He's probably selling before the bailiffs repossess Ireland Significantly overpriced though, I agree.
  16. Welcome. Good luck with all the refurbing you're doing. Josh
  17. I live in Warwick, although I'm Supe-less till next year I'd love to meet up with some of the clan. Josh
  18. Good escape. They really are crafty buggers. If he'd had you at 101 then he'd have shown you on his gun I bet!
  19. Was looking through AT, when I stumbled across a nice looking N/A. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201043371384158/ Why the hell would you put that stupid dragon graphic down the side? Does the car belong to anyone on here? Josh
  20. You have passed the practice citizenship test. Questions answered correctly: 18 out of 24 (75%) Time taken: 02 minutes 50 seconds Please select 'Test summary' for a full summary of your test and for advice on how to use the Official Handbook and Study Guide to prepare for the actual test. Please note: At the end of the actual test, your answers will not be displayed on screen. At the end of the test session the test supervisor will tell you whether you have passed or not. Now, all of you get the f*** out!!
  21. I was a bit gutted I didn't get to see the fight last night, but now I'm happy I was out instead.. Nothing totally shocking, but the fact Harrison didn't even punch back makes a mockery of it really. Hopefully the next challenger will make a bit more of a match for Haye
  22. Ask the agent specifically, they're obliged to give you the full truth about costs involved etc. If you say "My business, Mr Agent, is doing X, Y and Z - is that permissable? Will I incur any further charges?" they have to find out for you. I bet you can get a great deal on the lease price too. Especially at the moment. What district council is in charge of the area where you're thinking of? You can look up what sort of rates they levy on certain types of business activity. Josh
