  1. I certainly hope to be turning up in a Supra! Or if I'm still being choosey I'll be there in the two Missed it last year, so I should be on for sure this year.
  2. I haven't bothered listening to it this week....I don't even remember that the Australian guy is called, but he made me irritated. And the play lists? Terrible. Been listening to Heart FM instead, as it was the only station playing some good music
  3. Not normally a fan of kitted Supras, but yours actually looks nice Welcome to the club and congrats on the purchase. Josh
  4. Left school at sixteen, really wanted to be an airline pilot! Started training...started looking for eventual jobs in the airline industry and there isn't anything. Saying there are 50 applicants for one position is an understatement. So I decided to save myself the 80K and get a job while I reconsider my options. Started working for a franchise of a big bank - after a year and a half it was announced that out unit was to close. I got voted (by other employees) to be the redundancy rep which allowed me to negotiate redundancy terms and conditions etc. Did really well at that, everyone got waaaaaay more than was initially on the table and it gave me a taste of hardcore brutal busines in a commercial environment. Was presented with a huge one off opportunity to undertake a project within flight simulation for a couple of months- so I formed a company, which I have now sold the assets and copyrights to a very very big company about two years later. Thereafter, I was offered a job in an estate agents, mostly in business development but also learning the trade. I'm now about to launch another new company with a business partner in estate agency...very weird this thread came up today of all days as we've just been looking at offices! Not bad for four years! Josh PS, if anyone on here wants a managing agent - I'll do you a VERY nice introductory offer on any rental property
  5. I'm currently waiting around until I see the "right" N/A come up...so I'm perpetually looking on PH, AT, eBay et al and must read far too many of these ads. Anyway, I love a long, well written ad and this is one of them: http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2366197.htm I was starting to think this could be a really nice car, with a reasonable mileage with a little otimistic price tag. Then I read the following comments, which did leave me wondering: Really? Than a TT? Correct me if wrong, but I don't think so? Does the N/A sound that good? I've never been lucky enough to hear the two parked next to one another! Is this a common issue with the Supe or the N/A? I've never read this in an ad before. Anyway, I don't want to go through ripping the whole ad apart. Understandably, this guy obviously loves his car - but these sort of comments do make me wonder what else he's try to "sex-up". What are your opinions on the car otherwise & sorry for the newbie questions and long winded post! Cheers, Josh
  6. Shit...misread what your first post said....been a long day! Whatever floats your boat I guess
  7. Good post, you sound almost identical to a friend of mine! Let us examine the facts, the highway code does state that you can only flash your headlights to alert another road user to your presence and you must not use it to convey any other message. Now let's apply this to an every day situation - you use headlights to flash another driver to allow him to pull out of a side road, but strictly speaking this is as illegal as flashing your headlights to warn the same motorist about PC plod. I would suggest this PC wanted to make a name for herself, but at the expense of the tax payer? It's nothing more than an affrontery in otherwise difficult economic times. It would be very intersting for the CPS bureaucrat who made the decision to be tested on this. I wonder what members of society would think there is benefit in prosecuting this man.
  8. Oh I see, didn't realise the two events were so close together. Thanks for the info.
  9. Really nice pics..! Who was driving the Mini that's in most of the shots?
  10. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-12115179 Man has been prosecuted after he flashed his lights to warn oncoming traffic that there was a traffic pig with a speed gun. There was me thinking the 'war on motorists' was over...
  11. You'll have to write up how different it feels driving a Supe to the two. I've not had the chance to give one a proper drive yet, plus I'll be going for the manual, but your opinioins will be very interesting to read. Again, congrats on finding your ideal Supe! Josh
  12. After chatting in the other thread yesterday, I did wonder how long it would take untill I saw a for sale ad for this beauty! Any chance you can upload some more pictures of the interior of the car? Good luck with the sale Lee. Cheers, Josh
  13. Congratulations! Looks very nice indeed. You got rid of your two? Or are you keeping it? Josh
  14. Just been clearing out the stuff I removed from my old car. I found the Snooper Sapphire lying at the bottom of the box. It has no charge, so I can't be totally sure it works...but it was working fine when I sold the other motor. Obviously, this has been used so it's got the usual wear and tear. I have the unit, the car charger, the windscreen mounting bracket and the USB cable - the necessary software can all be downloaded from the internet. Full spec is here: http://www.snooperuk.com/products/snooper_sapphire/index.html Anybody want it before I stick it on ebay? £15 inc postage to any member. Any questions please ask. Cheers, Josh
  15. When I read this I was expecting something similar to the Active Aero system that's on the Mitsi GTO, looks like it's just a spoiler hooked upto a few servo valves and a remote control. Useful for braking when being seriously pelted around, I suspect, but not a lot else.
  16. Happy new year everyone! Josh
  17. Looks good, but the fact that they're just willing to make plates based on me telling them any old registration in an ebay message is a tad worrying. NB: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/PersonalisedRegAndNumberPlates/DG_181503 Note that it doesn't make any reference to what material can or cannot be used, as long as it meets all the other spec.
  18. Same user name as me, same car as me, same situation as me (looking to make the leap upto a Supe) Welcome to the forum!!
  19. Just what I was about to say...
  20. I'm yet to meet a scientist who thinks he knows everything, Jazz - unlike any evangelist nut job, Christian or otherwise I might add. I find the second part of your comment the most interesting one, however, "scientists now are only starting to discover what is written in the Bible". This is a very bold statement indeed, and I fail to accept your copied and pasted list of (mostly) inaccurate (contextually) quotes as evidence at all. So, that's it then! The answer we've all been looking for! The Bible is the be all and end all of all answers we could possibly need - screw funding for finding a cure for cancer as it's probably hidden in the magic book somewhere, right? But what about a Muslim? Why should he accept that your God's book is better than his God's book? Or a Jew even? Why do they lose the right to contest that their book is the superior one (even though some of it comes from the same sources)? I think you see where I'm going with this. At what point does this boil down to nothing more than petty, circumstancial nonsense?
