Derren Brown did a very interesting documentary on tarot readers and people who claim to be able to see the future. Check it out, it might be on 4oD. Don't suppose you asked her for anything useful, say, the lottery numbers?
-
Surely your EA took a number of different pictures from the front of your house - one of those has got to be from a different angle/more zoomed in, meaning the crap isn't visible?

I bet you these will be huge in a couple of years. Just wait for them to appear on whatever Jordan's driving around.

for sale MR2 N/A spares/repairs - possible project car?

Sold -
Sounds like it could be pricey. Thanks for the info both of you. It looks that way, but I was thinking maybe just the angle?
-
Lol, I wish, would certainly keep up with the other vehicles we've got knocking around. Just had a quick look at yours - looks very nice. I'm currently hopping around in a GT, sweet cars. Very interesting. Got any pics? What MOT/Tax?

She's looking at buying her first car and would ideally like to have it here by next weekend. She's got about a grand to spend, maybe a bit more. She's been looking at the 1.4 Golf Mk4, but also likes the standard small cars (saxo, lupo et al) Anyone on here got anything they want to get rid of? Been looking on Autotrader etc, there's lots out there - but would rather pay a member for the car, if they can vouch for it's condition As the title suggests, it's her first car and she's a young driver, so the smaller the engine and insurance group the better. Post up pics for me to show her. Cheers, Josh

Bump before this is ebay'd. Any offers? I want this gone. -
The more I look at these things, the more I want one! I'm seriously tempted now. I saw there was one for sale on here a few weeks back and it looked gorgeous, wish I'd smashed myself up sooner Trouble is, whenever I type the reg of one into confused.com, it never finds the car. They're not that rare...surely???
-
I like the look of your one actually, does it still have that front lip on it? Feel free to PM me with a price you might be looking for. Aristo is very appealing to me, as is the GS300 as a car (ie, without the twin turbos). Trouble is, they're very rare (Aristo) and finding one to test drive can be a pain!
-
I actually do! What else will you throw in the for ten points? Two other Supe's
-
That first one looks very very nice indeed. I think I'm going to go and test drive a few 5 series, see what they're all about.

You got something in mind?? lol

I've sent you an email Chris. -
I think the 300C is a magnificent car for the money. Very tempting indeed. Monaro I'm not so keen on. Lexus is something I'll have a look into - not too familiar with their range of cars. Can you recomend any in particular? BMW: the obvious choice for a saloon, the 5 series. Bit boring though, maybe. Unless I can find an M5 for that money...

I don't really like the styling of Audis more than how they are put together - I wouldn't say no to a VW if the right thing presented itself. Don't care if it's petrol or diesel, and aslong as it is nippy enough to do third lane motorway speeds and keep up with everything else, then I'm happy with that. Good call. As above, styling of them. Although now you mention V8...

Hi Ro, Not a convertable man myself, prefer the hard tops. That Beemer is seriously tasty though...just one of those things I'd rather look at than drive!

With the MR2 gone, and not planning on getting the Supra until the summer (unless Keron has some good news for me regarding a certain silver one..!), I think it's time I get a new daily/fun car that can bridge the gap. Here are the criteria: - Must be less than ten years old - Must be a saloon - Must not be a Merc or Audi - Fuel consumtion/economy doesn't really bother me, as long as it isn't above insurance group 20 - Would like to be able to get the car in black - Must be able to get it with leather seats Budget for all this is probably 6k, would prefer to spend closer to 5. I REALLY like the Chrysler 300C, but the price of a good one would stop me getting a Supra this year. Hmm.. I've seen this that is the sort of thing I like: http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2412873.htm

You have PM. Should also add that the front near side tyre is nearly new, the others were done not long before that. Rear brake pads were done at the begining of the month. -

Hi Chris, Never dealt with cars in this state before - what is going scrap value for something like this? -
Hi Guys, As some of you will know, I've managed to crash the MR2. If you haven't read the story and what I believe to be the damage, look here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?239458-Rip-mr2 I have no time to invest in getting this car back on the road - which is really a very upsetting thought for me as I love this car a lot. For that reason, therefore, I'm offering it to another member (first of all) to see if any of you fancy a project. She is a 93, L, import N/A manual in black. The facts things you should know: 1) It has been SORN'd - tax disc sent back, so will need collecting on a trailer/flatbed etc 2) I don't know the full extent of the damage, as I have not had it looked at by a loss adjuster/Toyota professional - it is what it is, please don't ask me to confirm that you will ever be able to get this car back on the road. It is worth quite a few quid as parts, however, if you have time to break it. 3) Although the crash left me in a ditch, I got the car home under its own power and therefore the insurance companies have not been informed - will not be recorded as a loss for insurance purposes. 4) The car has a practically new MOT on it, with no advisories (although I suspect there might be a few now ). I recently had to pay to get the rear braces sorted (common MR2 problem, affectionatley known as "cancer braces") 5) The odometer reads 158k (I think it's somewhere around there), it was a fairly high KM model import, and I estimate the mileage to be somewhere around the 120k mark 6) I have a folder full of receipts, paperwork, bills etc for the car dating back to its first owner in this country 7) Prior to the crash, this car was as sweet as a nut - it wasn't my daily, but drove it nearly every day because I loved it so much - engine, electrics etc were all brilliant - a pleasure to drive. 8) The car is now sat at the drive way at my mother's house in Warwick. Collection will be from there and I have no way of delivering it. Although I'm more than willing to help you load it onto a truck or trailer. 9) Paint work and body work was generally quite good for a car of it's age. Obviously there is damage to the wing as a result of the impact. 10) The car isn't modified in any way. I have no idea what price to ask for it. Make me cash offers, swaps, PX (WHY) etc. If no interest here in a couple of days, will Ebay or PH it. Please feel free to ask any questions - I'll try my best to answer them. Here are a few pics of her before the crash, last summer: http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/9016/10949387.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/1387/car22222.jpg http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/5205/75547038.jpg Crash pictures are in the other thread. Cheers, Josh

You only bought this a couple of months ago didn't you? How come you're selling so soon? GLTWS! -
Hmm, for me it's a tough call between a 500 BHP R33 GTR or my Grandad's RR Phantom.

I'm 20, 21 in early April and I've got quotes for now and quotes as if I've just turned 21, the difference in the two is about 100% for me. 4k for now, or 2k in April. I'm certainly waiting. PS - it's actually cheaper for me to insure a Supe if I buy a TT auto import (I was planning on an N/A) - I think the cheapest quote I got for a manual N/A is 1800, an 1500 for an auto TT. Nuts eh??? I was going to be the sensible one and have an N/A to get used to the car, but the insurance companies WANT me to drive with more power
