  1. Now also on the fleabay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220818264998
  2. The car is now on Pistonheads: http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3055009.htm She'd probably take £375 from someone on here...
  3. Hi Guys, On behalf of my mum, I'm posting up her Celica GT (UK spec). She's realistic about what it is and what she hopes to get for it, so please don't hesitate about contacting me with offers etc. I've been brutally honest about the car to avoid any "shocks" when coming to collect it. The car is mechanically sound, the engine is very good and pulls well. Recently, however, one of the rear calipers has started making the trade mark squeaking noises which would suggest that it's time for it to be replaced - a reconditioned part is about £70. The front tyres have been replaced within the past six weeks or so. There is tax until the end of September and MOT for approx 6 months (I will double check MOT date for interested parties). The car is also HPI clear. There are a few bad points, however: 1) The near side paint is faded as is common with some of the red Toyota's from this period (as some of you will know) and has gone a pinky colour 2) She recently had a "car park incident" on the near side of the front wing and the plastic has broken 3) Aforementioned caliper issue 4) No service history at all - none when she bought it, and we have a mechanic in the family who has looked after it in her ownership The car is totally standard except for an Alpine CD player that was in the car when she bought it. It is my understanding there have been two previous owners. She's selling this car as she is planning on buying something else and she has a little Polo to do her daily commutes in. I will endeavour to get some photos uploaded ASAP. Ideally she'd like something around the £450 mark for the car, but is open to reasonable offers - she's done her homework and knows what the engine sells for etc. No part ex of cars please. Please drop me a PM if you're interested and I'll pass on phone numbers etc. The car is located in Warwick, CV34 postcode. Thanks Josh
  4. I know I was rather pessimistic about the price in my post on page one of this thread, but I really am shocked you've still got this! Hopefully the interior pics do the trick for you. Good luck, again!
  5. 24.5 is fine. I shared the shock with others at claims of 40+ MPG.
  6. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?243946-mpg-tt-auto Read the comments to and from Josh - I'm suprised you managed to miss this over the past few days.
  7. I wonder what the MPG is like on that one...
  8. Ask your big man in the sky about the 'placebo effect' - food for thought none the less. He might clam up a bit, but push him for some information. Alternatively, use the lowly Google.
  9. No. He has no recourse against you unless you are demonstrably deceptive ie, if he says "are the indicators working" and you tell him that they are, when you know that to be untruthful.
  10. Rear 1/4 glass is what gave it away to me too.
  11. Right up until the point it all seems to go fuzzy? I've heard that one too..
  12. Don't know how many of you on here are interested in commercial aviation, or Concorde in particular - but I thought I'd post this anyway. Was digging through some old files and found an ATC recording of the last Concorde departure from Kennedy. Most of the RX comms are done by Mike Bannister. My favourite bit is just before take off clearance is given and two or three other aircraft all mysteriously ask if they can stop to "trouble shoot something" on that side of the airfield... blatlently just an excuse to stop and wave her off! I must admit, listening to this did bring out a few goosebumps on me. It's quite sad, in its own way. Anyway, I have attached a zip file to this message, so please have a listen if this is of interest to you. Josh
  13. Sadly, your employer can do that. Understand how frustrating it must be though.
  14. The next couple of weeks will be tough - I was doing over 30 when I saw a speed camera van a few weeks ago. I instantly slammed the brakes on and spent the following couple of weeks wondering whether or not I'd hear anything. Everytime the post came, I dreaded looking because I knew it really was 50/50 as to whether a NIP would be served. Anyway, over three weeks have passed now so I think I am ok. Hopefully you will be too! Keep us updated.
