This article was published many months ago (May 2010), but I just now got the scans from DSPORT. Guess I should have scanned it myself when it came out but I got busy and forgot. So for anyone that wants to read it, here you go. My poor Greddy 4-row, LOL! At least no one can accuse me of never driving my Supra! http://pics.mvpmotorsports.com/dsport/v8kilr_dsport1m.jpg http://pics.mvpmotorsports.com/dsport/v8kilr_dsport2m.jpg http://pics.mvpmotorsports.com/dsport/v8kilr_dsport3m.jpg http://pics.mvpmotorsports.com/dsport/v8kilr_dsport4m.jpg http://pics.mvpmotorsports.com/dsport/v8kilr_dsport5m.jpg http://pics.mvpmotorsports.com/dsport/v8kilr_dsport6m.jpg Cheers, Dusty

The damage claim is still being worked on with FedEx. Paul here can comment further on its status. The missing parts you guys are definitely owed still. Boost Logic assured us this was already being taken care of a long time ago. Given that neither of you have the parts though, we are following up with them. We already called and emailed Boost Logic today. Regarding the quality of the exhaust, I am not sure what to tell you. The Boost Logic exhaust is not the highest quality exhaust available. Theirs welds are good, not great. The finish is good, not great. Its 75% the price of the HKS 4" Ti exhaust and maybe 75% of its quality. I used to have the BL exhaust on my Supra as well. Now I run the HKS 4" Ti... Kind regards, Dusty

We are still waiting on Boost Logic to resolve this for us gentlemen. You will have a resolution this week for any missing parts that should have come with the exhaust. My apology for this ridiculous delay, its absolutely unacceptable. Kind regards, Dusty
-
Just let us know how we can help you sir! Thanks, Dusty

Hi sir, We have been shipping this exhaust since its creation about 8 years ago. We have never had this problem before, much less 2 in a row. I'm more surprised than anyone, I can assure you. We will be doing an extra quality control check on the future BL exhausts we ship, I can assure you of that. The last thing we want is this happening yet again. Kind regards, Dusty

Got it, thanks Jamie! Dusty

Hi Andy and Jamie, As you know from the PM's I sent you before I left on my business trip, I have been out of office the last 10 days at the International SEMA Auto Convention in Las Vegas. I will PM you both now to see where you are at individually. Kind regards, Dusty

Andy and Jamie: I have both your PM's about the damage (Andy) and missing parts (Jamie). We will work to sort your damaged exhaust (Andy) and missing parts (Jamie). I apologize for the inconvenience to both of you. Both exhausts were shipped directly from Boost Logic to your door, we never saw them nor touched them. I simply facilitated the shipment using our discounted shipping rates. These things do sometimes happen, but as you both know we are here to take care of it for you. We will be in touch via PM's to both of you gents. Kind regards, Dusty

Good luck, hopefully someone has an old set they will part with. These were discontinued almost a decade ago! Regards, Dusty

Cambelt change. Anything else while I'm at it?

The 2JZ-GTE is a non-interference motor. It takes large cams (280 and above is around where it starts) to make it interference. Regards, Dusty -
PHR can't help I'm sure, Mustangs are not at all what they do. Email [email protected] with what you need. CC me on the email please. Racing Solutions does a lot of USA Domestic vehicles. Regards, Dusty

Clearly I can't compete with used parts if that is what you are into buying. For body parts, be careful as there are a lot of replicas and fakes on Ebay. We carry only 100% genuine, hand made, perfect fitting parts.

Sorry to hear of your trouble sir. Please just contact me directly via PM or email. I can take care of you immediately on virtually anything you need for your Supra. We will accept your credit card the first time if we know you are a respected and long-time member of this club, just like Rob said. As far ebay goes, if you have absolutely no interest in support, service, or factory warranty that is your right. MVP buys direct from the manfacturers and we have an 11 year track record of taking care of customers before AND AFTER the sale. Kind regards, Dusty

Cambelt change. Anything else while I'm at it?

A new OEM is certainly better than a 15 year old cast piece, but I still don't trust the cast. We didn't realize the need for this piece until 2005 unfortunately. -

The biggest thing you should consider is a billet timing belt tensioner bracket to replace your old OEM cast piece. We have had countless numbers of people (my personal Supra included) snap theirs while driving or racing. It instantly wrecks your head and can tap your pistons and take them out to, especially if you do not immediately realize the problem and shut it down. Happened to me 3 years ago. Cost me $2,900 with free labor and hook-up pricing from the manufacturers we buy from. This can happen at ANY power level. It seems the OEM cast piece is wearing out on our Supras. A $315 (USD) billet bracket can save you thousands. Ernie Skillen on here had it happen to his BPU Supra, as just one example off the top of my head. Kind regards, Dusty -
Hi sir, I apologize for the $339 shipping quote you received. Our online system does a terrible job of quoting the correct shipping cost outside of North America. Please contact me privately with a list of your parts and your address. I will quote back to you a much more friendly (and accurate!) shipping cost. Thank you kindly sir! Dusty

for sale Breaking TT Auto 199 silver Nearside Damage
V8 Killer replied to StuartW's topic in Parts for Sale
knightrider please clear out your PM box. Trying to reply to your PM to me... Thanks! Dusty -
Sounds like you need a bleed of the fluid to get your brakes nice and tight again. Regards, Dusty
-
A 5spd gearbox, assuming its good condition, will hold a proven 400-450rwhp. After that point it becomes a ticking bomb. An unbuilt TT autobox will hold 500rwhp before it starts showing issues. A GOOD built one (like the Boost Logic) is good to around 800rwhp. Of course a V160 or 161 6spd gearbox is the best, but obviously a complete swap is both expensive in parts and time consuming. Best of luck, Dusty

Is the pedal squishy in any way? Or you just have to press them down a ways before they work, but when you get to that point they feel solid and work great? Regards, Dusty

Sensors can change over time as they break in. If you have a way to verify your Greddy boost gauge is off, you can use the blue know to adjust. Thanks, Dusty
-
Its for calibration of the boost sensor. Not something that needs to be messed with by the end user. Cheers, Dusty
