  1. Saw it as well, it is indeed very, very green!
  2. As I previously posted I have already spent time and money trying to cure this, and discovered that without stripping the engine I am unlikely to find it. My car started 100% stock, it is now single turbo. The only rotating parts that are left from stock are the Engine internals, (pistons, crank, rods, bearings), the oil pump internals. As I said before this small noise being present has now caused me no issues on a single turbo car in the year since I last posted on this thread. I still believe this is a harmonic noise in the head, the exact cause of which I am unable to isolate until I one day strip it down to do a forged build . Even then I may find nothing untoward. Some supra's have this, I have found other cases on the internet(check australian forums), and it does not seem to cause any issues.
  3. MX5 MK1 Chris! I daily one and it's such a good little car. Plus as mentioned, very customisable to keep you busy, and cheap.
  4. No you need to properly bleed the caliper of air using a clear tube to ensure you can check for bubbles in the pipe. I'd suggest you check on youtube first for some instructional videos on how to properly service, remove, refit, and bleed brakes. As you allowed the brake reservoir to empty completely, you should probably bleed all four corners or at a minimum both front brakes, as air may have now entered the system. Brakes are not something you should be learning on if this is one of the first times you have performed work on your own car.
  5. What was the total cost Jake?
  6. Did you forget to plug the king lead back on? or maybe it's not plugged on 100%. (Ignition lead from the coil to the dizzy) Sounds simple but if the cap is on properly and the rotor arm hasn't fallen out then it can only be a lack of spark surely!
  7. No noticeable NVH increase over stock with vibra here.
  8. Excellent work there with the saw Sir!
  9. Haven't unplugged the crank sensor by mistake have you? Plug runs up next to the altenator, has a plastic tag which secures it's wires to the block as well.
  10. Finally Tom! Looking forward to seeing this soon
  11. Check the loom grounds under the shiny manifold. I'd also thoroughly investigate continuity&resistance of the wires relating to the coil packs and ignitor. Won't take you long with a multimeter and a wiring diagram. Those coil packs are quite commonly not up to the task, I'd get some oem toyota's in there as a matter of urgency, maybe you could borrow a set to try?
  12. The boostlogic exhaust is your problem. Had one for literally a few days when I had a TT in TTC. Took it off and sold it almost straight away. A single would indeed be the same, but a different tone.
  13. Nice, like that! Most of the aftermarket ones are 2.5" as well.
  14. Nice! Almost exactly the same as mine when it came into the UK, mileage and everything.
  15. I made one the other day, check my build thread for inspiration. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?296229-James-s-DJG-Turbo-Project/page45
  16. So here is a belated update from a few months ago, but An unfortunate case of phone based destruction meant I didn'y have access to the pics of how I made this, so I have delayed posting until I got them back. Last year at some point(can't find the post on here where I uploaded the pic) I made a simple aluminium shield to protect the intercooler, and help duct air through it from the bumper mouth. As you can see from the below pic, it left a gap with the original front bumper undertray(trimmed to allow fitment of the FMIC, I had just used the side sections previously). I decided to make up a section for the sides, to close up the gap properly. The following pics show the process of templating up, drawing out and bending up these side sections, before some pics of the finished ,welded article and it fitted to the car. All in all very pleased with how it came out, it seals up all the holes and I can still use the OEM towing hooks, although hopefully I'll never need to! Thanks for looking, James.
  17. All back together. I messed about with the suspension ride heights, hopefully it affects the handling how I want.
  18. Is that the same box which was whining it's tits off at the NEC?
