  1. I have one in wrinkle black, painted never fitted
  2. Greg's experience with the LA twin is unusual. I know a few people who have it, (including myself) and have no issues. It's the quietest solid flywheel clutch you'll get, the pedal is light and it's nice and slippable. Another top option if you don't mind a heavier pedal is an rps streetmax cover plate and a stock clutch disc. Held over 600ft/lbs on my car reliably. Also it uses the stock DMF which is a godsend as it eliminates the rattle from the gearbox when idling.
  3. I'd say that was about perfect. A few thousand in the OP's budget to tidy the mechanicals and the described paint problems. An old school single setup but at the time the parts were quality.
  4. This thread is a well thought out comparison of various kits, probably a good place for you to get some data from, Dan is a clever bloke. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?225007-Big-Brake-Kits-Real-Numbers&highlight=Dan+dan+brake+comparison
  5. UK's with proper pads will be the equal of a set of 6 pot K-Sports. Unless you're doing it for the look of the K-sport calipers behind the wheels then I wouldn't bother changing.
  6. If we swapped wheels we'd both have basically our ideal setup!
  7. Happened to me years ago on my first Supra, new fuse in, job done!
  8. Of all the projects I am enjoying this the most! Actually taking the time to get the right parts is the way forwards. Good job!
  9. I asked why it was so cheap, he just said they're doing a deal for the club.
  10. I think for the sheer banter you should have to share the double!
  11. Drill the bearing at one end, use a lond rod to push the one at the opposite side out, then you can use a fatter rod to push the drilled one out from the other end.
  12. Have you built the engine already then Alex?
  13. Pretty sure the one I need is either 89452-12080 or 89452-22080
  14. Dave did you get my PM about the TPS?
  15. Looks good! You need the smoothed wrinkle painted top water neck chris parry is selling!
  16. Purple car, green wheels gold engine bay? You've raided the dulux colour chart for this one Alex!
  17. That's a clean little car! Was owned by a guy called Pete, who exhibited with us at the classic motor show two years ago. Nice bloke!
