  1. Ignored it! Really the best fix is indeed a manual ECU.
  2. I had this issue, made a thread years ago. There's a wire you have to cut on the ECU plug end.
  3. Time for a yearly update .... and to try out this new forum! I do love the original clocks on a Pre-facelift Supra. I already had a TRD Tach, and a UK Speedo fitted. So when Adam Knight (aka The Biebs) Offered me a genuine TRD and Super-rare Fuel/Water Gauge I couldn't say no! With the car being pretty much how I want it now, it's these little things that keep the modding enjoyment going
  4. As (it sounds like) you are doing a more restoration style of job. A good epoxy primer (Novol is excellent but expensive). Then a good quality underseal like 3m or Upol Raptor. The main thing is to ensure you are applying it to good, clean metal, trapping surface rust under new products will do it no favours at all! Definitely worth using that cavity wax as a final step once you have finished with the underside restoration. Don't use it before having any paintwork done though as it can interfere with the paint process.
  5. In a nutshell paintwork first. You are correct in that the paint won't adhere to a waxed surface. You know that cavity wax is for inside the box sections of the car? Not for coating the underside. I mean you could coat the underside but I'd imagine you'd leave a horrible sticky mess which would attract a coat of dust and dirt in no time.
  6. Pricing it is simple. 1-Get a quote to rectify the issue. I.e. an engine rebuild 2-Work out what you'd want to advertise it for if it were in 100% running order 3- Take 1 away from 2 and you have your sale price if you sold it as is. You'll most likely make more breaking it.... but that would be both a waste of a good car and a bit heartbreaking!
  7. Damn. At some point we have all exceeded our talent limit. Some get lucky others don't. That's not a great place to push said limit though. Glad nobody was hurt!
  8. I find it hilarious! The other day I had a bloke race up next to me at the lights and skid to a stop before they changed just so he could yell it across at me. Just a bit of fun!
  9. Might have this wrong... I apologise in advance if I have.... I'm pretty sure you're the guy though. However, if it's so easy, and you can't understand why professionals charge so much. Then why do you keep messaging other members asking if they will share the maps from their own professionally mapped cars, with you, for free?
  10. One Pair Supra Doors. £250 / door come with window regulators and catches and hinges Contact Kane on: 07900 787846
  11. So braided hose and AN fittings you cut and assemble yourself. You don't need to order specific length hoses, as you can make them whatever length you desire
  12. As in the title, £375 posted. Brand New. Please call: SOLD
  13. Nothing wrong with a well executed NA-T build. Unfortunately I believe the OP was sold a dream about what he could expect for his money. Do it cheap, prepare to do it more than once!
  14. After a 2J Supra Sump Setup. Bowl, upper section, windage tray, pickup etc etc. Rear Bowl.
  15. Complete with a visit Micks Monster Burgers I see
  16. Yeah it would have folded in half if it was a UK due to all the hidden rust!
  17. No problem bud. Worth the effort for sure to know for certain! Was also great to meet you.
  18. Is the bottom end complete with Sump for sale?
  19. Thought I do an update as it's been a very long time indeed. Got a pair of Kenlowe Fans from Budz(Dean/Abz). Knocked up some brackets to mount them on the rad. Reworked the Intercooler pipe to fit the new Fans. Finished Shot. Spot the shiny alternator from Lee. The current draw was too much for the 20 year old stock items.
  20. I'm sure we could all manage to be in one place for half an hours messing around. I'm in fareham and have space plus tools and a jack so just get in touch if you do want to try it out.
  21. As you're local you are welcome to try the rear wheel on my car if you like, I have UK rears. I can't be as helpful on the fronts as I have AP racing on there, however it might give you an idea?
