Cheers bud! Funny, I spend most of my time wishing I had twice as much! Another forgotten update... Brakes were rebuilt and fitted with braided lines and new discs & bolts before Dragonball.

Just a little update spam...! Found a bit of some kind of broken pin lying in the bottom of my gearbox stuck to the magnet, when I pulled it apart. It turned out to be the fulcrum pin for the 5th/6th selector arm. I don't think it's the original, as it wasn't a good fit in the mechanism, and the head is smaller than the genuine toyota replacement which fits perfectly. Luckily it had snapped half way down as can be seen in the pictures. The top half of the pin was still in the swing arm and amazingly allowing the mechanism to work. My 5-6th change has always been a bit ropey, I'm pleased to report it's now lovely and smooth! Checking the thrust clearance on the new input shaft bearing(was beginning to wear). It shimmed up on the tight side, but should loosen up once the bearing settles in. The new bearing appears to have cured the tiny whine I had when cruising before, so fingers crossed it doesn't come back! The box has had new output, input, shifter, and inner input shaft seals(basically all of them), along with a re-seal of the flanges. Hopefully it'll be oil tight for a long time to come now! After fitting the new LA twin I found that my clutch still wouldn't disengage. I tried a Facelift N/A (Gold/smaller bore cylinder) slave cylinder for more travel, to no avail. I finally found that the issue was a collapsed thrust cone washer on the clutch release hub. This was allowing the hub to vibrate, which I could feel when depressing the pedal. The vibration was transmitting back through the plates in the clutch, causing them to fail to release. She's back on the road! Lovely to be driving her again, the HKS LA Twin is a great clutch, love this car!

Used but in fine fettle. I ended up changing this as I thought that it was at fault for the clutch failing to disengage. When my new clutch also would not disengage it became clear that there was nothing wrong with this one. If I hadn't believed this was at fault I'd never have changed it out, it's a brilliant clutch! It held 660ft/lbs and 708HP on my car, with a standard 6 speed driven plate. The only sacrafice you have to make over a stock clutch is 130% pedal stiffness, so 30% stiffer than stock. Trust me, it's not that bad, you get used to it and forget about it soon enough. It has 100% stock engagement, and is 100% quiet as it uses the OEM Dual Mass Flywheel. So no juddering and no rattling! Truly a great clutch for a single supra. Condition; Cover plate- Some superficial marks, good working order. Driven plate- Used but I bought it new. The friction plate hasn't even worn across 100% of it's face yet as you can see in the pictures. Loads of life left yet! £250 + post or collection for a 700HP capable clutch setup... Bargin!

Is your fuel system currently made up from torques lines and fittings? If so bin them all and start again. I don't mind using their solid fittings, I.e. male to male adapters for example. However their lines and hose-ends are crap quality, fire hazard really!
-
You bought a new T51?
-
6 looks like the wires to your crankshaft position sensor, minus the plug... Did you destroy it when removing the twins?

More than you can afford, pal!

Have you still got the cats fitted?!?! I had the exact same scenario on an MX5; -VSS Gone -Burned out valve -Smoking it's tits off I had the head rebuilt, fitted new VSS, re-assembled it.... It still smoked its tits off because the cats had clogged with all the oil it was burning off. I took it out for a hard drive, got the exhaust really hot, it stopped smoking after 40 miles or so, was perfect after.

Does it still have both cats in?

Yeah so subtle.....

Hi mate, Love to have you along to help, trying to stick with stock colours on the cars so unfortunatley although it is an aero we can't really take it. We are very lucky to have the stand this year as competition for places was so tight. I am trying to keep the cars more stock looking this year, to make them appear more 'classic' . -

Jay & Mike - Both your cars are of standard, I'd like to shy away from Stock wheels on a white car as we had Lewis's white UK on stock wheels last year and I need to vary the content. You'd need to leave the car there for the full 3 days. You yourself wouldn't have to be present for the entire 3 days(Lewis dropped his car off and went home), but the car must be in on thursday night and not move until sunday evening. -

I should add the following; I only have space for 5 cars. Cars selected would need to be in place from Thu Night to Sun Evening. If you want to bring your car but we don't have space you are still more than welcome to come along and represent! -
Dates: 13,14,15 th November 2015 After the roaring succes that was MKIV Supra.net's first visit to the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show in 2014..... I am delighted to announce that we have been invited back! Last year's team of; Wiley, Ian, Jake, Ibrar, Lewis did a fantastic job manning the stand, but the entire 3 days were a bit of a hard slog for them I felt. Therefore this year I am appealing to the wider club for volunteers to come along and help out on maybe one day. We had a brilliant reception last year to the cars, despite them being in the younger spectrum at the show. I expect we will have even more interest this year, as the show tends to grow each annum, and if Darren is successful in getting into the sporting bears charity rides at the same show, with his supra. Tickets for those willing to come and help out will ofc be free of charge for the day/days they attend. Spouses are welcome and even encouraged! I'm sure that last year's attendees will post in here confirming how much of a good time they had before! Please note, only apply if you are a sociable chap/chappette who is willing to engage with members of the public and promote your club! Cars: I am also going to put the feelers out again for cars. We have 5 spaces this year, if you want to apply please post in here, a pic/details would be useful! (I don't need a 900 word spec list!) I am ideally after clean, stock-ish cars of all flavours/colours, so long as it's an original colour!. An aerotop would be especially welcome! Cheers, James.

VVTi's don't run a MAP sensor. They run MAF sensor, totally different arrangement. As far as Aristo MAF vs Supra MAF, Swampy is the man to ask.
