  1. They're very high strength, self-locking nuts. They look like a little flange nut, and typically they'll use a smaller spanner/socket than a normal nut for the same thread size. - - - Updated - - - They're very high strength, self-locking nuts. 2. MX5 - Mark 1!! If it's not already been said. Handles better and is lighter than the fatter Mark 2.
  3. Have you bled the box properly? I.e. running, foot on the brake, cycle slowly through all the gears and back to park. Check level again. Repeat until correct.
  4. Take any mileage without documentation with a pinch of salt, one look underneath, a drive and a careful ear on the engine will tell you if you've bought a lemon.
  5. Haven't polished mine since Dragonball Just gave them a quick 20 minute buff and they came up lovely. Previously the last time I polished them was for the NEC Classic show back in November.
  6. Great event! Basically a public drag race/speed trial on Brighton sea front. Can't imagine a more boring car to watch do it than an R35 though.. You need tyre smoking, tail wagging drama with a V8 soundtrack at Brighton!
  7. Ohhh! I'm coming south in my supra tomorrow night... Rude not to drop by this time
  8. Manual ecu would work. I had this problem when I fitted an auto tt lump to my N/A years ago. There's wire on the engine loom that you can cut to cure it.
  9. You sir need a precision Turbo! Mine made max torque @ 4200 RPM(640ft/lbs), max power by 6500, (708bhp) It's a stock block & head, with 256/264 staggered HKS cams. It's also a 62mm (6266 Gen 1 Journal). 6466 PT would bring it alive a bit more for sure, torque & power would probably come on harder and sooner as well.
  10. Chill out Josh! All it needs is some nice facelift lights and it's perfecto
  11. Get on with it Rob! DJG I presume? You will be able to spam Dave's threads with pics of your car!
  12. Not that I think you would... but whatever you do don't connect a battery up on that to test anything! Poor car, luckily it does look like the expensive bit will go again... looking forward to reading of it's resurrection! Oh and be careful what you breathe in whilst stripping it down.. there will be some nasty things lurking in there.
  13. Comprehensive!! Lots of new oem service parts. Much better than the typical "60k" miles conversion, with old, shagged parts! GLWTS, it's too cheap Adam!
  14. Whatever you go with, don't go with a paddle clutch! Horrible things in a road car! - - - Updated - - - Whatever you go with, don't go with a paddle clutch! Horrible things in a road car!
  15. What is your budget Jake? I know an absolute nutter with a garage full of recaros from Hondas.
  16. I don't want to come for the whole weekend, what are my options? I'd defo like to come for one day, and maybe stay over one night... Is there a ticket option for that?
  17. The rattle from my LA twin with lightweight flywheel is a bit annoying, genuinely so much nicer with a DMF and this fitted! If I hadn't sold my almost new DMF I'd probably change it back!
