  1. Carpets and curtains are generally considered fixtures and fittings. However should you damage them you wouldn't be expected to replace them on a new for old basis - I took an old landlady to court over this and came back with a convincing win

One of the two was correct
  3. If you want to demand answers within 30 minutes I'd suggest you opt for the ultra-premium membership option, £500 a month. Anyway it doesn't really matter, the pipe just gets longer which means it's easier to route it somewhere sensible, the same stuff comes out of the end and as there is no restriction there shouldn't be any concerns really. I guess it's a longer chunk of metal to retain a bit of heat in the bay but beyond that I can't see any cause for concern.

Full open face or SAS style?

I think we already have our quota of members with "daz" names now but welcome anyway.
  6. Of course but not with regards to motorway cameras.
  7. Well pardon me, sorry for not knowing the specifics of the story based on your vague witterings. Best sell the house then and look into renting a council property while applying for any benefits that might be available. Perhaps the world owes her a favour but there are people in these situations who don't have the benefit of property worth £1000's sat there. Nobody wants to lose a house but it's not a right to own one no matter how hard you've worked or how nice you are. Your mum is able bodied, you say she's a qualified ITU nurse and she's doing favours for your sister. Well your sister needs to step up and take responsibility for her child so that your mum can try and get back to work then doesn't she? And yes it would be nice to be able to spend time making sure the hospital are doing their job but sometimes you have to put your trust in these people so that you can eat and pay the bills. Sorry for saying it how it is (in my mind at least) but this is life sadly, if he wasn't insured against such things then there isn't a huge amount you can do beyond asking for donations, benefits or going out to earn money yourself. Sorry about that.
  8. The first post is just the start of the nightmare... good luck.
  9. A question that came up elsewhere - does anyone here know of anyone who has ever been fined / given points after being caught by average speed cameras on the motorway? You hear of people being pulled by the police after being done with guns but I can't remember anyone ever posting about those average speed cameras.
  10. Can't your Mum get a job now? You say she "looked" after your nephew - past tense. Maybe someone else needs to do that now under the circumstances?

    Gnomes

Post 20,000, obviously it had to be an important one so here we go... Do you have a gnome in the garden? If so what's it doing? Fishing? Standing? Keeping watch over treasure? Something else? Do they ever move? Do you talk to them?
  15. Poor Kos I own a guitar, it had a broken string for over a year, I replaced it yesterday, I guess I should play it again now.
  16. It's not something I have to pay up miles in advance and if I win on the day of my death I'll be able to rest in hell knowing that someone else is enjoying the life I wasn't lucky enough to have myself. I'll also relish the thought you might feel slightly guilty for killing me off so early... probably so your mate can rob my cold, death-infested house of it's electrical good.
  17. One of my resolutions was to start playing in the hope that I win and get enough money to take over the world. I've set up an account on line so I don't have to mix with people in the shops - 2 lines a week on the normal Saturday one, it's probably 10 years since I last played.
  18. So this guy who robbed the bank... is he still on the run or what?
  19. I guess the technology has just been moved to things like driving simulators for studies / development, flight training and so on... more industrial than for home. Leeds Uni have a massive driving simulator that they use for research, it's supposed to be very realistic.
  20. Good plan, we wouldn't want her aeroplane to start rolling away!
  21. http://www.youre.co.uk I've had goldfish that responded better to training than you.
  22. Have we made up our minds on this one yet? I'm amazed at how people are unwilling to tell him to do the right thing!

So you don't have a constant supply of kleftiko slow roasting in one of those sexy little ovens then?
