  1. As it happens I was going to drop you a message about it
  2. You'd think so but I suspect it will be as interesting as one of the last times the question was asked. But I can't wait to hear from some of the people who have spent lots, I worship those guys.
  3. It seems as thought JAE are either going to have to do early July at the Showground or have it elsewhere - if that's the case hopefully they will take TOTB into account. Good point on the tyres, I hadn't thought of that - less fannying around in the pits
  4. Sunday 27th July 2008, Elvington Airfield nr York. http://www.totb.co.uk/home I hope I'm not treading on any toes here but as I'm passing this on to the MR2 chaps I thought I might as well do the same here. Some early info about planned changes for TOTB this year for feedback: I think the changes to the handling circuit could be a huge improvement, better spectator areas are obviously a good thing but is the move to a 1km top speed run taking away one of the strong points of the Supra? What do you think? DVDs from TOTB VI are still in progress AFAIK.
  5. The world is just a huge media circus these days, it's big money - back in the day drugged out rockers had to do some crazy stuff to make the papers, now all they have to do is go to the newsagent and buy a pint of milk and Sunday papers. Sadly many of them are just humans like the rest of us, they have problems and illnesses to deal with in the public eye, some folks just can't deal with it very well.
  6. Does he attend meets in his Supra?
  7. Ah someone open-minded with an appreciation of a range of stuff, the perfect person to be having this argument about music Keep up the great work and enjoy your 8 track collection.
  8. The constant influx of Japanese imports certainly isn't helping, it's not a rare car like it once was.
  9. Change the record and stop ruining our residuals
  10. You can have lots of fun on the corners with an auto http://www.megaboost.co.uk/supra/mine/elvington-trackday/DSC_2958.jpg
  11. Care to explain that point for those of us who have missed it?
  12. Depends how filthy the car is but I foam > leave for 10 minutes (unless sunny when it starts to dry), then power wash it off so remove the grime, then bucket wash as usual and so on... it's a prewash stage. You can use it to clean the car in the way you describe but I'd do the soak and rinse first to get all the gritty nasties off before touching the car. Just add some wax free shampoo to the foam lance (about the same as snowfoam) and away you go
  13. People are offering money to murder and hurt me elsewhere sir, a "rolleyes" is a treat in comparison
  14. But by "all" I hope you mean "some" because not all chit chat is chit chat... or something?
  15. What a jolly thread to set me up for a pleasant weekend, club spirit at it's very best
  16. I'll leave you to it, good luck.
  17. Apologies, I guess the mouse problem has taken out the tab buttons, cursors, enter keys etc too, my bad
  18. Why not? I bet you've already paid the £20 too.
  19. Indeed, obviously it depends on when and where they actually hold the event and how quickly the group buy people get to me though so I can't promise anything.
  20. Sounds good to me, TOTB wouldn't be the same without the usual threats of violence against me. Maybe you could do a group buy?
  21. No, I missed 2006 and 2007 after not liking the venue and being bored with the cars on show in 2005 - I figured some time off would make it more interesting again so plan to go this year. I was in Peterborough at the time of the show last year but went to the pub instead. OK I'm an ogre.
  22. You're right But for the record I''ve camped in the past, done the drunken night thing, tried the hotel approach, visited for the day and so on - I used to enjoy it, I don't find that I do so much anymore, that's not to say I've stopped going. I think I can say I've "experienced" it, just not with the people from here. I've parked on the club stand for 3 years, can't say I felt very welcome but then again I haven't made an effort to make myself known (so people who have promised to duff me up can get their wish?), I've either been with friends who aren't in the club or a moaning girlfiend. Having said this I always have time for those people I meet whilst wandering in the same way as I do at most events. I'm not an ogre. I just think TOTB is a better event, even more so if you get a group of people together the night before for a laugh and some beers - if clubs made more of an effort to organise things there is no reason why they couldn't have a mini static show at a nearby campsite on the Saturday, a booze up that evening and then go to TOTB on the Sunday if sober.
  23. I've been to plenty thanks, 5 if my memory serves me right.
  24. Use the keyboard to troubleshoot. CTRL-ESC, cursor keys etc...
