  3. It did it on purpose to show that I'm human.
  4. Reposts scare me: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=111157
  5. Probably walked to a local butcher, baker, fruit market and so on... Walk into any supermarket and compare how busy the ready meal section is compared to the fruit and veg one... that's progress.
  6. See you at the finish line

You lot will be sorry when they take over the world!
  8. ^^ what he said, not something you need to be doing at every junction but useful on the 1/4 or just for amusement once in a while. If you are going to do it make sure the 'box fluid is healthy to start with.
  9. http://gizmodo.com/343348/confessions-the-meanest-thing-gizmodo-did-at-ces Childish and annoying but that's what makes it funny
  10. Also good to do if you are going out on the town, it makes it a cheap night
  11. They didn't, they just shouted at anything that parked on top of them - I liked them, they were my friends... now they are gone
  12. The police seem to use the disabled spaces at my local Asda when they go in to collect a shoplifter or a late night snack - someone actually wrote to the local paper about it and the police replied to say they used those spaces to save time so they could get back to fighting crime as quickly as possible. They used to have talking disabled spaces that detected a car parking and shouted "this space is for disabled drivers only" or something like that - quite effective as it makes everyone look at who has parked there. Possibly quite embarrassing for real disabled people though, hence they are gone now.

    i feel hard

I had stitches in my forehead not so long ago - people instantly presume you've been head butting people like some crazed neo nazi rather than having had an operation. I liked my stitches but now they are gone

    "Rods"

As part of my usual ritual to watch crap on TV I came across a programme on "rods" - apparently they are creatures that fly through the sky so quickly that we can't see them. People photograph the sky and record TV shows to watch back in slow motion to see them, sane people say they are just insects, these chaps disagree. http://www.roswellrods.com/pre.html http://www.xprojectmagazine.com/archives/cryptozoology/rods.html http://www.ufopsi.com/articles/rods.html http://modeemi.cs.tut.fi/~leopold/FlimFlam/0205_RandiRods/Rod01.jpg Be careful out there
  15. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_166184_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__CarSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_34004_crumb_33958-33974-33922-34004_parentcategoryrn_34004 Or: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7506569/Trail/searchtext%3EPRESSURE+WASHER.htm Or: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7500228/Trail/searchtext%3EPRESSURE+WASHER.htm A little noisy as mentioned above and the 6m hose could do with being a couple of metres longer but they should keep you happy
  16. Flow rate and power are the two things to look for initially, length of hose is probably the next one - so many come with crappy hoses where you have to move the washer around just to do the car. Also consider the noise output, some of the cheaper ones do your head in after a while I noticed Halfords have one of their own brand ones on offer at the moment - the chaps on detailing world seem to think they are OK, £40 off I think, only £49.99 - others: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=10001&mpe_id=13075&jspStoreDir=HalfordsConsumerDirect&identifier=Pressure+Washers+-+c955a71f&intv_id=63035&evtype=CpgnClick&langId=-1&catalogId=10151&ddkey=ClickInfo They also have a few others on offer, the Karcher K499M seems to be at a decent price but compare with other stores as they might just have reduced it to the same as everyone else like they usually do with their sale items They have a lot more in store but don't seem to want to tell us about them online for some reason. I have a cheap Challenge one from Argos at the moment, it does the job, foams with a gun, has decent flow and pressure but the hose is a couple of metres too short, it's very lightweight and a little noisy - but it functions perfectly OK. Depending on budget there are lots to look at - if you are going to give it some hammer, use it a fair bit and want it to last it might be wise to look at a decent Karcher (someone on here sells them but seems reluctant to do us a group buy ) or a Kranzle perhaps? I'd like the Kranzle K1150T or Karcher K7.85M - the hose reels are something I want on my next washer because I'm fed up with trying to store my others without them springing all over the place
  17. We have a mobile donation "van" that comes to the office, I give as often as I can, usually ever 3 months or so. I've only had one "bad" experience with donating and that was when half of my arm turned black, red, yellow and blue the day after - I have quite deep veins and I thing she'd been digging a bit too much We generally have a few office people fall over or get sent home after the blood van has been but I suspect it's due to them being slightly stupid, donating after not eating for a day for example. They are trialling a anaesthetic cream up here that people put on before they donate to numb the area but it's never really been something I've had discomfort with - as said above the little finger prick test they do before you donate is worse Try it, if it does work out for you at least you tried.

    Autosol

Just wax them with the same stuff you use on your car or get some specialist wheel wax like the one mentioned in your near identical thread.

What's wrong with the first thread you started on this? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=135966 You have access to the wheels, if they don't look lacquered then they probably aren't - try some metal polish on them (gently) and see if the finish comes back. If you want something less abrasive the Meguiars NXT metal polish is very nice.

    guess what

I guess that someone just posted yet another crap thread. What do I win?
  21. I don't want to get dragged into this but I won't be able to sleep tonight if I don't do this... http://www.youre.co.uk *and relax*
