  1. Go out and have some Shisha.
  2. You aren't willing to discuss this like a normal person without resorting to insults and I'm the idiot? I know what one looks like, smells like, tastes like and so on... I also know what a cigar tastes like, smells like etc... I can't have one of those in a Shisha bar because there is a smoking ban... Your "probably" is flawed but please continue to amuse me.
  3. You seem unable to see the difference between "discuss" and "provoke" but try to keep your knickers on eh For some people I'm sure a pub is a place to go and drink lots, myself and many others like to go and enjoy food and a couple of drinks at them, ban the alcohol and I'll still go, I'm reasonable like that - I can drink, smoke etc at home where it's legal. Hell if I had friends I could even invite them round to share the experience and socialise! Imagine! The "Shisha bar" in question is called the "Markaz Restaurant and Shisha Bar" - so is the main reason for it to be a restaurant or a shisha bar or is it trying to be both? It's a restaurant, a place that serves food... like McDonalds... should I be able to crack open a big jock-off pipe full of stuff in there too? Poor business model then I guess. Stupid in what way? Crikey if these Shisha things are the only way these people can exist I'm genuinely worried for them! Play chess over a nice long coffee, go for a walk... Alcohol isn't banned... if it was and the pub you went into was serving it then you could probably have a little rant. Not that the alcohol would really affect you too much as it's not filling the air with nasties like this toxic smoke does. I think you need to get over the whole pub = booze thing and appreciate that there is a smoking ban in place that covers all types of smoking, if an alcohol ban came into force you wouldn't be able to open a "gin bar" to get around it. This one in Bradford is the only UK bar of it's kind I've ever heard of, I've seen the devices used as decoration before and experienced the stuff in Tunisia but it's not something that I'm all that familiar with, I can still cobble together a few words based on what I do know though. It's a shame places are going out of business but the law is the law, a lot of pubs are using the smoking ban as an excuse for their demise too but I doubt they will get a great deal of exposure because they just do as they are told and deal with the consequences. I *do* get your point but there is a smoking ban in place, that removes your arguement - you need to be opposing the ban as a whole rather than suggesting a small minority of people should be exempt from it IMO. Thanks for the clarification though, I'm learning things
  4. I presume you've seen the bar in question? To an untrained eye like mine it looks like the restaurant next to it or the one to the other side, there aren't giant signs proclaiming that everyone entering it's doors has to smoke and with a smoking ban in force since last year you'd expect to be able to go into any restaurant without being subjected to smoke wouldn't you? A "Shisha" restaurant like this one could just be a theme, I'm a simple chap, I don't learn about everything before I dare to go out for lunch. I now realise it's a "smoking" ban rather than just a ban on burning tobacco, it's not something I've paid much attention to if I'm honest so I had to have a quick check just then. But yes, I often drive to a country pub, have a nice meal with a non-alcoholic drink and then hop back in the car - are you suggesting I shouldn't do this and that I have to get sh*t-faced just because the place sells booze? Erm... yes they do, haven't you been out recently? See all those people stood around with white sticks of death? They are smokers. I don't smoke but a cigar can last a long time, they got banned in public places, why shouldn't Shisha? Anyway a bit of extra reading for anyone who cares... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6238382.stm http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/documentaries/thelastdaysofshisha.shtml
  5. Who is banning all kinds of smoke? Isn't this entire thread about the smoking of a tobacco product rather than the production of smoke from burning things? Can't the Shisha places simply change to a tobacco-free alternative, continue business, continue the amazing social element so many people seem keen to retain and keep selling the sandwiches, snacks and drinks that apparently nobody wants?
  6. I thought so, it's the muslim = terrorist one that's flawed isn't it?
  7. FYI I nearly went into this very Shisha Bar just before Christmas and I only wanted a spot of lunch, not some octopus thing blowing smoke on me. Or in many cases some great food and a drink or two. I can go into a pub and have a sandwich without feeling the need to drink alcohol, I suspect Shisha people can go into their favourite places and smoke tobacco free varieties without being subjected to these laws? Afterall you can still cook chicken on a charcoal grill in Nandos, that makes smoke flavoured with their sauces and isn't banned as yet. Yet they serve food, drink and other items... it might be an "extra" but you keep saying people only go to these places to smoke Shisha when that clearly isn't the case. If that's all they supplied to the public then your ranting might have a point but basically it's no different to a restaurant selling cigars is it? So some of the the ones in the UK *only* do this shisha stuff and don't sell food and drink then? People go outside to smoke cigarettes now So Shisha lovers can't have a good conversation over a glass of refreshing non-alcoholic beverage then? Odd bunch, just as well they are getting banned!
  8. You are 17? Crikey you never said!
  9. They don't like me but it's nice to see Matt Yeng on there
  10. Interesting... Strange... when I've been out in Bradford in the past the clubs have been full of "locals" (I won't presume they are muslim) drinking soft drinks, enjoying the music, ganging up in huge groups and intimidating people...
  11. I saw this on the news last night but found myself hypnotised by the ladies beard so didn't really listen to the story. I presume they will thrown some kind of racism thing into it at some point and say it's removing their cultural rights. The thing is they also do a range of tobacco free options there so could probably get away with doing that: http://www.markaz-shisha.co.uk/index2.htm I like this one too: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/coventry_warwickshire/7188478.stm
  12. Car 6 to rank! Car 6 to rank! We still need pictures and as it's far more interesting here than the Skyline forum you can hang around and see what you are missing, you'll be back
  13. Psst... they aren't guys
  14. Buy him a bluetooth car kit to thank him for saving you £30 a week, that's one problem gone. The speeding bit is harder to deal with.
  15. http://www.petrolhead.nl/2008/01/te_koop_51_ferraris.php Apparently he's selling 51 of the Italian lovelies but keeping some of his others... I just wish I could understand the text below the pictures.
  16. That's very cheap and almost tempting but I'll resist as I have nowhere to keep it.

    "Rods"

They fly through things and never die, they are above our understanding... rods... like little Gods... Maybe not.
  18. Deep sockets, big jock off ones, black ones for impact wrenches... I've probably used 10% of the stuff in mine in total and I'm sure the smaller set will include those - you can always nip round and borrow them if not
  19. You get the ratchet spanners in the bigger kit and a few extra sockets that are either side of the smaller kit sizes - they often reduce this one in price too, I got my 150 for £99 a while ago but it was only £149 to start with back then.

    Hello

Or http://www.supraforums.com if you are really in the US
  21. I need some rears, that's the size I wear - but I didn't get paid properly last month so I'm being careful. To be honest I think these might be wasted on a car that hardly moves though, I'll keep an eye on them
  22. I'm another Halfords Pro range fan but if you want chests and some cheap tools until you can get better ones the Sealey Superline PRO and American PRO are OK - they keep sending me brochures but don't seem to have most of the stuff listed on their site. They do a 5 drawer rollcab with a 9 drawer top chest, black, roller bearing drawers and a load of free tools thrown in (they say £200 worth but they don't look to be that great!) - £311.19 inc VAT for that anyway. Loads of smaller and bigger ones available. These sort of things... http://www.ccw-tools.com/pr6k3c843636/Sealey/Storage-&-Workstations/Sealey-Christmas-Toolbox-Promotion/c-1-4-181-1083/ Give the tools away or save them for emergency use and start collecting better stuff
