  1. They aren't trying to, get your own pointless thread.
  2. I like 87 with the woman in the background saying "stop banging"
  3. You'd be better of learning about boilers and getting Corgi registered IMO
  4. 8/10 but really 9/10 - I couldn't resist saying that lesbians didn't exist before a certain time The Mae West one got me.
  5. Well it's not getting any newer... £5 inc P&P
  6. I'm torn, I feel like I'm guilty of it myself so to complain too much now would be a little bit hypocritical of me - I was going to start a thread earlier about having lots of near misses on the way to work due to people trying to crash into me but then considered it might be too trivial to the masses and deemed unsuitable compared with the off topic section content people are apparently craving. Who knows, just carry on the good work and try to keep your rogue element under control
  7. That's your job, I'm just here to moan about it afterwards
  8. Huge thanks! Supra just arrived on my desk and is jolly nice indeed - thanks again!
  9. I don't doubt *your* approach to these things for one moment sir and I applaud your ability to deal with things without using power to your advantage, it's some of the others I worry about... well one of them
  10. Your common sense? My common sense? See what I'm getting at? To be honest I don't really see a huge problem with "off topic", it doesn't seem any worse than any other period while I've been here. The problem, as I see it, lies with a handful of relatively new annoying members, change them, not everyone else. And I am happy with it, as I said I'm not bothered in the slightest, but what message was given out to the members about these things? Like I said on PM I was concerned by the number of PMs I received from newer members who were worried about attending events if they had disagreed with someone on here. Is the lack of moderation in those circumstances seen as an approval for such things to be said to all members? If it was someone else being threatened would the mods have stepped in? Does that mean things aren't dealt with in the same way all of the time? If so what are the guidelines that dictate that user X is warned but user Y isn't? Not getting stressed here BTW, just curious and hoping to open up a debate before someone comes along and says "Thread Locked" until the next time.
  11. I like the idea of them and when my neighbours had one I did get tempted to sneak over and have a play when they were out - I resisted though. I think it comes back to a bad experience at Pontins in Southport, the trampolines there had big holes in the side where the springs are and nettles grew out of them.
  12. That particular full stop or the whole thing? Lunchtime and raining, none of it actually matters to me if I'm honest but it helped pass a few quiet moments
  13. You know why I put that? I was thinking about trampolines - is that such a bad thing?
  14. Define "off topic" though... what are the limits? It's a section for everything that doesn't fit in elsewhere isn't it? I'm not suggesting that the recent threads are any good but they aren't exactly against forum rules and I'm fairly sure I've started equally pointless ones along with many others over the years. But it's off topic... what's considered acceptable off topic and what's not? I have some pretty random conversations with real people on a daily basis, I don't post similar stuff up here but if I wanted to would I now be given infractions or something? If I find a picture of jesus in an egg sandwich from Tesco, as an example, am I allowed to mention this here? It's not really that simple though is it? We need a strict definition of what's allowed otherwise we might fall foul of the heavy handed mod (singular). What's deemed stupid to some might be comedy genius to others, what's considered pointless to me might be the most interesting thread ever to Matt H for example... it's not as simple as you make out is it? What's acceptable to 99.9% of members might be be the worst thing ever for the remaining 0.1% - what then? This would be fine but I think the ignore user functionality needs to be given more options to help with this. I have one user on my ignore list, he's a kn*b, I don't want to know he still exists if I'm honest. Yet his name pops up in threads, I can still see he's started threads, his quoted posts appear and so on... an ignored user should be dead to me, I don't want to see their threads, their name in the members list and so on... juice it up, give me more ignore power. Again you need to clarify what's acceptable and what's not - some moderators... well one... will give you an infraction for not sharing his opinions on something or challenging his views, others are more human and willing to enter into a chat about things. What's "too far"? If recent threads are "close" then what more would be needed to tip them over the edge? From the above I presume it's OK to threaten to physically harm someone on the forum or even pay for others to do it yet it's not OK to say that someone has "issues" because they post things than many consider to be trivial? Clarification please. Sorry, too scared of those infractions.
  15. Shame, you've always been one of the better ones when it comes to telling me off At least we've still got Rob Oldham holding things together.

    Hello

*guffaw* Welcome aboard, do you have any pics of the GT4 to share with us? Someone might fancy a swap.
  17. That's why I got out, I was too honest - the clients loved it, the people looking for work liked it - sadly the slimeball management of the company couldn't understand it and constantly tried to force me to be like the rest of them. "Greed is good" was the unofficial company motto Good money though, I miss that.
  18. Not yet, still delayed sadly but still very much in progress so it's not come to a halt or anything.
  19. Are you a nurse? If so can I have some oxygen please? That was a very long read on one breath.
  20. Dave222's son had one for a while but it was already very nice looking and it was a while ago so he might have got rid. To be honest for a thread like this you really need to put up a better topic title - "CRX Delsol - any owners here?" could have worked, as could a visit to one of the many generic Japanese car forums or the specialist Honda ones
  21. Like I'm not hated enough already and now I'm to blame for this... Shall I just kill myself now to save the amassing horde the petrol costs?
  22. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=114965& - perhaps? Edit: Oops, seems I wasn't very popular in that thread, damn you honesty!
