  1. IK+ and Barbarian 2 on the Amstrad, Revs on the BBC, Xenon 2: Megablast on the Archimedes, Bruce Lee on the Spectrum, Sensible Soccer, Turrican (and 2), Shadow of the Beast, Test Drive 2, Speedball 2 and many more... ah so many lost days FA-18 Interceptor seemed so realistic back then... http://amigareviews.classicgaming.gamespy.com/fa18inte.htm Those were the days when going to an amusement arcade was a treat because the graphics were so amazing, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore... and mobile phones are more powerful than the computers we lusted over.
  2. Despite this I bet someone has created a forum for them
  3. I know the "Shock MR2" but I've never heard of Gaugeplace. Are you are that both links in your signature are broken BTW?

  6. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us, I hope the emotional wounds heal in time Can't you pull out and market the house again? Surely it's value has increased since you agreed to sell at the last price?

    Books

I read that last year but thought it was "ok", the concept was good, parts of the book read well but the overall tale was a bit Hollywood. It started better than it finished. I don't read much non-fiction but my Dad keeps giving me stuff he's read, the few I read last were quite reasonable. "The Lords of the North" by Bernard Cornwell, a bit of Viking action, a good blend of history and fiction, bit of fighting, revenge, romance etc. "The Skin Gods" by Richard Montanari which is a plodding police vs serial killer tale and "Pig Island" by Mo Hayder which was a really good read - one of those that's hard to put down. I have a stack of books I'm trying to get through at the moment but really want to get back to one I keep starting and then putting down in favour of lighter subjects - "Burning Tigris, The: The Armenian Genocide and America's Response" by Peter Balakian - I've had it for ages but it's a bit deep for bedtime reading and I don't seem to get time to read much when I'm more awake. Anthony Bourdain's "A Cook's Tour" and "Kitchen Confidential" are great reads if you like food / cooking. Oh and EVO magazine
  8. Peter definitely posted up some really nice hi-res shots of his car but I can't find them, the best I can come up with is this one: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=26521
  9. He's "Sharpie" now isn't he? Posting on this very thread

I'm reading one at the moment but I don't think you'd like it. It's all chefs and serial killers otherwise, do you like pop-up books?

  12. Is it international repost day or something? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=126333
  13. *sits down* Hell yeah! If you could describe it to me too I think I'd be in heaven.
  14. Oops I dropped the sponge again... not to worry, I only get £2.00 an hour and it's not my car... To be honest 90% of the punters probably don't care or even notice the added paint defects, it scares me when I see I nice car being done though
  15. Well done to you, can't beat that lovely swirl effect these cheap wash places achieve.
  16. That's the same as the T-Mobile Touch Plus I mentioned isn't it?
  17. In my opinion an N95 is wasted if you don't have 3G access - 3G access is wasted if it costs a fortune, so for me T-Mobile on Web & Walk Unlimited was the only option really, other providers have improved since though I believe. It's nice to be able to download podcasts, music, stream TV, check mail, surf the 'net etc without worrying about download limits or excessive data costs. The N95 seems to have tapped into a good network of application developers, lots of useful stuff coming out. If you do get one you might miss the touchscreen, you might get annoyed by the small buttons and you will definitely need chargers in all the locations you visit. Otherwise it's a good choice if you update the firmware - Orange are terrible at keeping this current so a lot of users whinge about the phone being pants when it's actually their firmware release that causes the issues. I presume Sony, Samsung etc do similar phones now, on the fringes you might want to look at something like the LG Viewty, LG Venus, K850i, T-Mobile Touch Plus, T-Mobile Ameo and so on...
  18. The N95 8GB is a nice phone, no touchscreen though. Not "easy to use" for a lot of people, fine for those who are able to think for themselves and read up on things though Are you tied to a particular network provider? Budget?
