  1. Big single for ease, big twins for the sexy looks and extra expense
  2. Oh stupid me, I guess it's not possible to simply add another calendar entry to collect names for such things is it? Thanks for your links though, looks like two quiet days.
  3. Calendar feature broken again?
  4. Oh and I think it's Leven on the way to Hull if the Pistonheads "sort by distance" thing is working.
  5. You are if you want a diesel and for it to be within 10 minutes walk of your front door.
  6. I thought so, facelift and looks tidy too, ad is 41 days old though, I'd be shocked if it's still available.
  7. That wouldn't stop me, it's more the annoyance levels than the threats
  8. Yes. HTH Good luck with the sale though.
  9. I'll probably have to decide on the day / see who else is going.
  10. It's the Internet, people do that. Ignoring them makes them stop.
  11. Local option: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/308765.htm Or for a little more... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/331676.htm
  12. Do you have a link to the thread where Ian proved that?
  13. 306 HDI or DTurbo as I said in PM - a bit of tuning potential if you so desire, economy and a good chassis. If you want something readily available then the Astra is probably an option but most seem to be higher mileage. If driving pleasure is far from your highest priority you might be able to get a higher mileage Octavia SDI, probably ex taxi but comfy and lots of room, you can make a bit of money on a weekend if you hang around outside the nightclubs I have a '99 106 diesel coming next month, low miles, 60mpg and so on but it's small and flimsy, I'm hoping to to swap it for a 306 diesel later or a Fabia vRS if my finances allow it. As this is a financial move rather than one for pleasure it might also be worth browsing http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk to explore which cars are able to run on veg oil to reduce running costs even more.
  14. Have any J-Spec owners fitted the associated "snorkel" to do the air redirection though? Just fitting the cosmetic part won't give you the effect Toyota added it for. Might be better to approach this from the angle of a UK owner swapping their bonnet for something else but I suspect mpg isn't something that concerns most of us at 100mph+
  15. They say it's to make it stick to the roads, reduce the number of times the gritter has to visit each area and use less salt while reducing corrosion of the gritters themselves. All I can see it doing is making my cars dirtier and the roads slippy. Oh and sheep like it apparently and go to lick the roads I'm not sure if they use it everywhere but it's been on trial up here for ages, it's called "Safecote": http://www.safecote.com
  16. Grit with a molasses coating, when it gets damp it's like diesel. I'm getting bored with telling people this now.
  17. Was he walking round with bodyguards and practically forcing his autograph on people? I might have been at the same show!
  18. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=137635
  19. Clarification please - is this a "met" thread or a "seen" thread?
  20. I spent an hour or so helping Patrick Stewart choose a drill and wall fixings without realising who he was. Lovely chap.
  21. I need to go and pick some bits up but I suspect I'll be asleep for most of the day.
  22. Still here in it's box if anyone fancies a dabble and has spare cash now Christmas is out of the way
  23. Wow, only twice as expensive as you paid at Costco plus postage - bargain!
  24. Glass of whine anyone? http://www.themigraineur.com/userimages/user2348_1159652092.jpg
