  1. So in summary, and as usual, only positive comments are allowed regarding anything certain members do otherwise the associated fan clubs get all defensive on their behalf. What's more amusing is the way people are quick to defend without having seen the evidence that has been hastily removed from the public domain for some reason.
  2. One of those things that chaps always seem to want to own but never actually buy - cheap enough to have a dabble? http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/58_5174.htm Links to the accessories on the left.
  3. What about the MAP2? http://www.mapecu.com/map2.html You could ditch the MAF at the same time
  4. Good evening Mr G, I got your text but it's been a hectic one. It makes sense for you to just give me the MR2s and then take my Supra really

I presume you already employ someone with GCSE English to put the quotes and proposals together?

And now the real reason for the "event"... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7259523.stm
  8. DhcLHuBv7Nc Maybe a mod could change the title of this thread to something more appropriate?
  9. Nope, unless someone lends you one or you pop out and buy one in advance. It's a useful thing to have for trackdays and other events and you can pick them up for £30 or so. Pop down to a local bike shop and see what they have. http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/index.php/cPath/43 http://woostersmotorcycle.co.uk http://www.squires-cafe.co.uk/html/speedstyle.html http://www.powersport.co.uk https://secure.jandsclothing.co.uk etc... They aren't the best at updating websites and things but I presume Wez got one of their emails about this date.
  10. Try http://www.straightliners.co.uk Chances are it will be £40 or £45 per car, maybe £5 to get in on top of that. You'll need your licence, no need for insurance cert, no helmet hire, long sleeved top required. I think that's about it.
  11. How does this answer any of the points I've raised above? I'm trying to think of ways to educate the members on a feature that's neglected at present and enhance the way the events are listed and all you want to do is post retarded statements that just make you look silly. Why? It's great that you know you are on an Internet forum, that in itself removes some of the concern I have about your mental health, but I don't understand why you feel I'd want to "turn off the browser" when I started the thread and wish to discuss the topic contained with the members. Are you suggesting that your earlier comments should anger me or that they have wound me up in some way? Sorry to disappoint if that's the case, you are cluttering things up a little though. Thrilled to be on your ignore list (and wish my offer to pay for an enhanced ignore feature that covers you would be granted) but even more thrilled that you've decided to respond to my thread and that you've have an email about it. Thanks for your valuable input on this thread.
  12. Because they didn't know about it or because you also ran a list of names and confused matters? Here we go, defensive Tom time I presume you are saying that I quit my position as an events organiser because I was incapable of doing it then? As you know I quit because I didn't want to have to hang up my personality and not be able to discuss things without mods sending me messages to say I shouldn't say certain things. As you also know I've continued to organise events since my name went back to being a normal colour. It's not a difficult job in the slightest, neither is adding a calendar entry and telling people to use the "I'm attending" link provided... well not to someone with a little bit of sense anyway. I'm a little confused by this as it doesn't make sense but I *think* you are saying that the calendar feature isn't suitable for some events but is for others? Why do you think that? The calendar entry needs to be there and linked from the thread for it work effectively and as you rightly point out people need to know how to use it properly. But then this also applies to copy & paste I suppose. That's a failing of the members concerned though, not the system in place to make life easier surely? This isn't meant to be an attack on any of the current methods, I just remember that when I wrote my iTrader guide it helped increase the use of it and introduced people to new features they weren't aware of (which don't work anymore). I was thinking of doing something similar for the calendar in an attempt to make it easier for people to manage events but maybe I'm not up to the job because my name isn't green.
  13. Would you be less lazy if the poster of the events thread linked to the calendar entry so you were two clicks away from being on the list?
  14. Curiosity mainly, the calendar feature seems to be the ideal way of managing such things yet it doesn't get used by some of the events people or gets used in conjunction with lists in threads and the two rarely match up. I just wondered if members aren't aware of the calendar being there and if it should be "policy" to try and use it more so that events threads can be used to discuss things rather then collect names.
  15. Despite the forum offering a rather splendid calendar feature that allows people to show they want to attend events we still seem to get a lot of threads that are mainly composed of increasingly long lists of names. I'm curious about this - is it because members (and some events organisers) aren't aware of the calendar feature or that they just don't like it? Here's an event in the calendar and being used properly (although missing a link to the thread discussing it): http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=586&day=2008-2-23&c=1 And here's a list of names in a thread to show the other way people do things: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=139537 Which do people prefer and why?
  16. She's ~50 isn't she? The way some of you are going on you'd think he was stealing babies from the maternity ward!
  17. I suspect it's a test fit to check the body is sitting properly Let's see your "fully" carbon Supra with it's CF flap so we can compare the two...
  18. I met him and his dolly dealers in a Chinese restaurant once - even then he was wandering around entertaining everyone. Funny old school guy.
  19. Happy Birthday to Drew Barrymore.
  20. Erm... we kinda lost a few battles and are a diverse bunch as a result Does the word "conquest" mean anything to you? I'm saying the complete opposite of what you think I am. My point being that the snapshot of "Great Britain" so many here seem nostalgic about is actually a glimpse at a country made up of mongrels, even "England" originates from a German word, those god awful Angles should have been sent back by the border control people! Anyway Canute's great great great... Grandson is on the phone so I'd better dash.
