well were too start i want the car back on the road main job. I would love to get it into a magazine. I have had no problems with anything so far "touch wood" so hopefully i will be ok but i will have too get her checked once i drop the engine back in. When the engine is in i will have spent id say £3000 ruff guess on stuff going on too the car like sprayjob and bodykit but no biggie what would you surgest get it checked with the engine in just shell or carry on?
-
the guy i bought it off is delivering the engine and rest of the parts tomoro. That will be one question i will bring up in conversation. I am unsure he said last time he was here every thing was sound on the chassis being straight because i asked why there was filler on it he said to cover the weld that was done. I have been told to sand it to the metal too check. What do you think i should do to be surtain its ok before i start puting 10k into it?

He poped round a few days ago and was saying about checking the work using weights and string. measuring point to point. but i trust the guy i bought it off hes helping me out more than he has too. Have you guys been in the same situation or have any advice on a doit your self check?

thank you so much i would have made the wrong choice from what you have said i think i will take your advice. thanx again i have a few more questions if you would be willing to help 1. the body is nearly ready for the bodykit. how would you get the bodykit on. create brakets and screw them on or would you drill and pop rivet it on? 2. how easy would it be to get a new front crossmember and crash bar sorry if the items i am on about are the wrong names but they need replacing and how much would they cost ruffly? 3. i have built up a few contacts for trade prices i.e. spraying a few performance parts and a dyno which will include remapping but im in dia need to find someone trusted to do the carpet headlining and seat's and maybe the dash do you know of any one? if you can't answer any questions could you guide me in the right direction thanx you are a great help

It was my father that mentioned it he was talking about the inner chassis he said the tool has a small but long pipe that’s pushed into e.g. the chassis leg then its like a spray gun as you feed the pipe back out it puts a primer or as my dad said wax inside stops rust getting in and working its way out. Personally I have never heard of it but I did know about the under body waxoyl is this the same stuff i.e. u said about sub frames doors sills etc
-
LMAO I know I am doing it all a different way but I thought get the body work done that’s out the way then the interior. After all wires are replaced windows etc the car can be parked on the drive while I start building the engine part by part back up because I am struck for garage space.

Right here is my drama my car has been sat out side in the full weather conditions. Then sand blasted and sprayed on the inside. The rust has just started showing but only on corners where it has been sanded to the metal. I the car back to my house and had a closer look inside the car. I found roughly about 5-6 kg of sand from the sand blasting. I have had to drill 1 drain hole in each panel. I used a jet wash to get rid of the sand does anyone think I need too wax the chassis if so how much would it cost. I want to do it properly. Someone came to my house and is a big kit car fan and mentioned in conversation about it???????????????????????

I was looking at getting 2JZ-GTE but I am still not sure yet. engine and ancillaries will be done last. The way I am planning now is to get the bodywork done and finished then move on to try and find an apollster over here who will do the roof lining, carpet and seats. I am still planning the dash I might fibreglass it smooth and leather it with stitching that matches colour of bodywork along with head visors gators and etc. I have got the time just need the money the wife is letting a few pounds drop out her purse but the heals are planted firmly.

Most of the parts were boxed up lights, dash etc. Upon opening a box I saw a few extra parts angel headlights, TRD gators, new clock faces and an alarm system with keys. Very happy!
