Did you manage to get the error codes, i think i have finally fixed mine, 2 blown capacitors in the ECU.
-
Try getting the error codes, the usual culprit is a speed sensor or speed converter if you have one fitted. It could also be a lose cable/connector somewhere, i hopefully have resolved mine after changing the gearbox oil/filter and solenoids and the autobox ecu. Fingers crossed.

Fixed - Error code 63 -O/d light flashing
scott.wild replied to scott.wild's topic in mkiv Technical
code 63 is showing as Auto transmission break in solenoid 2 circuit, this is what lead me to changing the solenoids in the box, after swapping out the auto box ecu, checking cables, re soldering dry joints on the odometer. The speed converter is a Thor converter/delimiter but always worth a try, although the speedo and odometer both work as expected. -

Hi, was your error code 63 as well, i have seen comments about error code 42 being dry solder joints on the speedometer / speed converter related. Thanks -
Hi, I have error code 63 on Jpec TT Auto, Symptoms are that third gear appears to be missed and this can happen at various speeds, sometimes while driving or just sat in traffic the od light goes out and everything is back to normal. So far I have changed the solenoids and transmission fluid and changed the autobox Ecu. I have checked the wiring for speed converters and returned to stock, still error 63, I have checked the power output from the accelerator pedal which goes from 0v to 8v so presuming the TPS is ok. Any other ideas on where to look, I suspect a lose wire/connector somewhere, are there any usual suspects. Thanks.

Hi, For the total closure you need a an extra module, toad PWC-402 or something similar that triggers from the white negative feed wire from your alarm. Wiring up is fairly straight forward although a little awkward. I chose to run a new positive fused cable from the battery which gives power for the module, from the module there are 4 wires which need to be fed to the drivers door window switch. It's then just a matter of cutting an existing wire that goes to the driver motor, solder each end of this to the pair of wires from the module, do the same for the passenger window. I did a dry fit first and did a few diagrams because i was adding a second module to handle driver window opening. Once it was all working tidy up the cables and solder and heat shrink all the wires. I have also added remote boot release now as well

Hi, quick up date, I have managed to get total closure on both windows working with driver side opening on demand now for the boot release.
-
Hi, has anyone done this before? I am thinking a standard toad auto closure module will handle the closing and then using a second one connected to one of the other alarm outputs to handle total window opening. I am only interested in having the drivers side do this. The goal is to make it a little easier when getting in/out of tight spots. Also is it possible to have an automatic boot release from the alarm? Thanks

Thinking of selling Supra TT Aero, Moment of madness (or not)
scott.wild replied to scott.wild's topic in Supra Chat
Hi Guys, Budget i was thinking was around 15k with 3-4k per year for maintenance/modifications. As most of you have suggested finding anything close to the Supra is going to be difficult, i have toyed with the idea of the VXR8 but not so sure, the Merc CLS55 AMG is another possibility. Does anyone know if its possible to do total driver side window opening and closing from a Toad Ai606 alarm, getting in/out in a tight spot is easier once i can get the window down and also open the boot from the alarm. Thanks -
Hi, I am thinking about selling my Auto Aerotop BPU. To set the scene i normally change my car every 6 months or less, i have now had the Supra for nearly 2 years which is a long time for me. I use the car mainly for commuting to work 2-3 times a week and mainly motorway driving, so i don't get any real benefit from having the roof off and parking and getting in/out of the car is sometimes a challenge. I have been looking for other cars but cannot find anything that catches my eye so far, probably an impossible question but if you were to change car what would be a suitable alternative. Number of seats isn't important (as long as there is at least 1), a little more practical in terms of getting in/out and fitting in a parking space but still maintaining a similar torque/hp 0-60 times. Thanks Scott

I have just changed from the Nur Spec R and have the baffle available.

I fitted the Lexus jets around a year ago, spray is nice and low across the whole windscreen not just the 4 jets

I fitted a new air con radiator to an Astra VXR and used the halfords diy regas kit, worked absolutely spot on and i topped up the Supra as well , only used 1 can and still had a bit left over

Hi All, My boot lid hinge decided to snap on me, what is the best way to change it ? My assumption is that the hinge part on the roof is bolted on from inside the car, it does look like it has a small tack weld on there as well Does anyone have any hinges available or know where i can get them from. Thanks

Quotes so far are coming in around 4k-5k which is a little steep, this is a daily driver as well so may need to bear that in mind as well. Thanks

Candy Red is definately the one, does anyone know what the front end is on this. It will be a professional job or maybe looking at Vinyl Wrap.
