hi all, Im preferrably after a Ford Mondeo Titanium TDCI MK3 or ST. (prefer auto over manual) Prepared to Part with my 97 supra 5speed NA + cash (depending on milage/condition) Cheers

i would love too - but its all money - as my supra is my daily drive aswell i dont have another car - ill have to buy another cheap run around (ruffly (£1500-£2000 with insurance) - 6speed box £2-£3k etc - i am trying to save as much as i can but its no way near the amount for another run around - i just like to start learning whilst i can getting knowledge/working alongside people who do it or have done it before and just shadow someone - only way ill be able to do it is sell the supra and maybe get a 1990 supra + a daily run about. just wondering if anyone is prepared to help me out (just on my days off to learn) or any books/courses or how people got into doing it.

im not qualified mechanic no - ive taught myself basic stuff and learnt things off my other halfs dad who is mechanic + does car restoration - ive taught myself professional car detailing ect but really want to move onto car mechanic/performance tuning , but due to being shift work ect i cant do a course at college and some companies ive asked for a 'apprentice' type work (not paying me anything just wanting to learn on my days off) said they cant offer me anything - so i just want to broaden my knowledge and start learning now.

Im after some metal pressed plates (like german ones) are they uk legal? As i have seen police behind many of my mates cars which have metal pressed plates (plain) just correct colour (yellow back/white front) with metal press and nothing was done? As my front plate ive been pulled couple times and immediatly they stated 'is it an import ....thats fine then'. http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/634/imagevww.jpg So if anyone knows of someone that can make custom size pressed plates please let me know.
