  1. I think it's a tough time to be selling at the moment, more than likely people will be using some form of credit to fund purchases and are probably being put off by all the talk of the interest rate rise from the Bank of England.

    F1 2022!!!!!

The joy of the rain, always mixes things up and lots of cars out of position which should make for an interesting race which is what we want. Brave decision form Russell to try the slicks yesterday, high risk high reward that didn't pay off.

    F1 2022!!!!!

The rain should prove for an interesting qualifying.

    Fuel Price

It's a supply vs demand game now. Eventually sales will slow down enough that they will need to lower prices to shift fuel again.
  5. Prices are all over the place these days with sometimes huge differences depending how quickly they react to the market! A few to name are: Toyota (try your local garage) Amayama TCB Parts Our classifieds
  6. Hello and welcome to the club. I will be pestering you over the coming weeks for a bit more info on your car We have a register for UK cars in our members area that you can take a look at, the link is in my signature below.

    Hi all!

Hi and welcome to the club! Lovely looking car
  8. If I remember correctly, only the non VVTI is non interference and the VVTI is.
  9. This, I would imagine it will prevent any new imports going forward. Usually motoring rules/laws like this are not retrospectively enforced as it has huge financial ramifications not only for the government to enforce but to the people who have paid money for those cars (when they were legal), which in their own country would now be worth nothing. There would be a huge uproar and it wouldn't be fair, plus rules like this more often than not have a more significant impact on the poorest in society.

    F1 2022!!!!!

It would be a shame if reliability decides the championship, I want to see more racing between the Redbull's and Ferrari's!
  11. Sorry to hear about the accident, £17,500 does sound very low. I’d try and get some for sale ads too to show what they are being advertised for right now.

    Silver UK spec

So this car had been off the road for about 7 years from 08/15 until 01/22. It went to auction in Feb 2022 and was sold for £33,250 then went straight back up by a trader for £60k. Thread here - https://www.mkivsupra.net/topic/248701-bonhams-supra-front-vents/#comment-3549315 New advert here - https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1427923 You even posted in it
  13. Unfortunately that's to be expected nowadays. Thanks for letting us know how much it sold for, it will be helpful for those looking to do the same or for agreed values.

    Fuel Price

Lots of things going against fuel and energy prices at the moment. I fully expect to see over £2 a litre for standard petrol in the coming months as the war in Ukraine carries on and there are more embargo's on Russian oil. Thankfully I work from home so fuel prices don't hurt me too much but that's countered by soaring energy prices which are a much bigger issue for most people.
  15. Thanks Peter, I'll look at that lance and for snow foam, so something like AG Polar Blast will be fine? I've seen bilt hamber stuff raved about and the price difference isn't that big.
  16. Good luck with the sale Steve!
  17. It really is bizarre what becomes desirable and rare. £600 for a button that probably cost a few pence to make.
  18. I'm with Lancaster and have been for 6 years (I think?) and they have always given me the level of cover I want for a reasonable price. The agreed value was a bit of a pain to start off with but they eventually caved and gave me something I was happy with last year. In the process of doing it again for this year now. They wouldn't budge last year so I got my anorak on and through a tonne of facts and figures at them and they agreed my value. Not sure what to ask for this year though and for sale adverts are getting more difficult to find.
  19. I would strongly advise asking around the local supra/car community if they know the car, as unless the seller is honest they are unlikely to disclose accident damage or any serious issues with the car. There's not that many about these days so it's more than likely someone knows the car and might have some valuable insight. It's happened many times before where someone says "I am looking at this car" only for members to recognise the car and reveal a different history than what the seller is giving. Clocking is also going to be a big issue going forward given the desirability and significant price difference for low mileage cars.
  20. You’ll need a very strong budget including a decent wedge for insurance at your age. Whilst it’s never bad to dream, I think you might struggle. Any bargains are quickly snapped up by traders and there are some expensive lemons out there hiding under shiny paint, so do your research.
  21. @peter richards I bought my old setup from yourself and the foam/lance combo has been amazing. Do you have any recommendations for a Karcher replacement and foam?
