I was paying £220ish which went up when I increased the agreed value to £50,000. My car is standard apart an exhaust and I have it on limited mileage of 3k per year.

This. However, you need to keep an eye on prices as if they leap up again, your agreed value will actually work against you. I can ask for an in year review and change of my agreed value for £15.

Agreed, RB have that strong top speed advantage that gives them almost effortless passing in the DRS zones which Merc do not!

Welcome back! Was your last car a UK Spec? I think when I was doing some digging years ago I found an old thread that indicated it was? A red auto? When did you sell it and do you know where it went? i.e. did it go abroad or to another member maybe? We have quite a few long standing members now, although there has been a recent spate of sales. But yes, prices have gotten very strong in the last decade.
