  1. I don't have an account on there, if someone who has one can ask for contact details that would be helpful.

    Speedo

Do you have a UK car or are you just wanting a 180mph speedo?
  3. Thanks for sharing, yes it looks like he didn’t keep it very long. I wonder if it was sold and not exported properly? Or whether it was in an accident and scrapped? There are some cheap basic HPI checks like caranalytics.com for a few quid that would tell you if it been scrapped or not, if you had the urge to find out.
  4. Thanks for that one John, I already spied it and put it on
  5. Sounds good John, any specifically on UK cars would be good!
  6. That would be great, thanks for that.
  7. Hmmmm, reg is on an UK spec blue auto now. Thanks for digging that out though It's been a while since I saw a proper photo!
  8. What did you need to provide to get that value?
  9. Good to know, I’m with Lancaster and my insurance renewal should be through the door any day now! Although I’m looking into Reis as they seem to be more negotiable with agreed values.
  10. Hard tops command big money in the states, they are more sought after for power builds and are rarer than Aeros. Complete opposite here where hard tops are common and Aeros command more money!
  11. Are you going for something a bit more subtle It definitely does stand out John!
  12. I was speaking to Keith about this a few months ago, he couldn’t find any pictures of the car or remember exactly what the reg was. Does anyone have any pictures of the car?
  13. Lovely car, do you have any more info on it or what happened to it? We have a register for UK spec cars and it would be nice if we could add this one to it! Can’t believe I’ve been here nearly 11 years, although that’s still the probation period compared to some of you.
  14. Hi John, welcome to the club. Main stream insurers will go off book value which doesn’t work for classic cars, I would suggest looking at specialist companies such as our club insurer Sky, Lancaster, footman James, hagerty to name a few. Who are you insured with? Is it a genuine UK spec car?
  15. My Ctek is one of the best bits of kit I have bought, it will keep your battery in tip top condition when not in use. Glad it was an easy fix.
  16. Hi Everyone, I have been trying to find contact details for the owners of this website - http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/ as they have an article on 3 UK spec supras that were exported there. I want to connect with the owners of the cars to get some background on the cars and add them to the register. Long shot but does anyone have any contact details for the website or do we have any New Zealand members that are part of that owners group?
  17. The suspension sits lower when parked to make it easier getting in and out, however his looked like a pimp my ride special rolling around on the deck when it didn’t reset to normal height. He also couldn’t get along with the noise of the Diesel engine, didn’t like the fact that it sounded like someone had chucked a load of knives and forks in a washing machine every time he put his foot down.
  18. If it only has those few issues why wouldn’t they fix them and sell it for £45,000? The no MOT and being sat for a while will put lots of people off, and the discrepancies as Keron mentioned with the bodywork with make those in the know very wary. Probably had a smash, been put away long enough for people to forget about it, then brought out to sell it.
  19. Why is this not at the top? Bump
  20. All hail his return, the messiah of saucy sketches and discoverer of the Boot Release.
  21. Dnk has a classic RR so not sure their is much of a comparison to draw. I think they do have reliability issues, my friends dad had a diesel one, he had suspension and gearbox issues. He bought brand new so it was all covered under warranty but he never bought one again. Dealer was spot on though and he got a Jag XK as a courtesy car!
  22. There’s a UK car still knocking around with over 280k miles, taxed and tested.
  23. Perfect timing, my insurance is due next month and I’ve been looking for adverts to support an increased Agreed Value. Lovely car and a strong price.
  24. Yearly bump, a lot of supra’s due out of hibernation soon from lockdown restrictions and the winter months! Stay safe everyone.
  25. If it’s spent a while discharged it will most likely be scrap regardless of age, as mentioned above, extended periods of deep discharge are not good for car batteries. It should be 12.4 or above for a healthy battery and anything less than 12 is considered completely discharged. So if your charger thinks it’s fully charged it would suggest the battery is the culprit, try a trickle charger as it may be able to save it. Ctek chargers will usually tell if it’s beyond redemption.
