me and my dad removed the rear brake discs on our rx300 the other day. The left side came off no problem but the right side the brake shoe was seized on the only way we could get it off was wacking it with a hammer. I think the only way you are going to get it off is to spray a shit load of wd40 or similar were the faces meet, leave it over night and then bash the hell out of it with a rubber mallet hopefully it will eventually come off otherwise you are going to have to get inventive.

Opening statement ... yes I have used the search button but the threads are over 14 months old. I love everything about my supra even down to the way the bonnet shuts (sad I know) but there are a couple of things letting it down wheels (being sorted), my A/C temp adjuster light has blown and the fact it doesn't have bonnet lifters. On my old car which was an mg zr there were no kits available so I had the use the lifters from a mk4 astra to which I had to drill a couple of nasty holes in my bonnet to mount them. But once done and tidied up you couldn't notice that they weren't standard. Are there any kits other than the top secret one and the ebay jobbie? I have read the ebay ones don't fit properly and stress the bonnet hinges is this true as I want to do it properly and not bodge it like on the ZR. Also I am not willing to pay TS's price as its insane !!

I don't think Toyota ever planned for them to last this long so stupid covers like this were probably overlooked in the way that they assumed by the time it became a problem the car would be in a scrapyard anyway.

Friday night would be better for me as I am work til 9 on Saturday but if I work my magic I may be able to get an earlier shift I will let you know tomorrow hopefully.
