it depends on the extent of the damage as I think anything worse than a Cat C is not allowed back on the road so you are not entitled to buy it back for legal reasons.

market value is if you were to sell your car now what would you realistically get for it not to be confused with what you hope to get. Would you expect a buyer to pay for your car + all the money in mods ... I think not. Obviously every year the market value of your car would have to re-agreed and will most likely go down.

95' 1.2 vauxhall corsa which I drove like I stole it. Thrashed it everywhere, I would say I redlined it but it didn't have a rev counter ..... 03' 1.8 MG ZR which was awesomely fun to drive which coincidentally is up for sale. 95' UK spec 6 speed which is beyond epic, I will never sell it.
