Yes you can as you can have both MPH and KPH readings on the same speedo.

were the bits gone then or did they catch them in the act?

from what I had read looks like there were changing the way it looked by removing bits so they could move it without drawing attention. If they were intending on stripping it they would have started at the front where the expensive stuff is.

I just read all of this thread and what can I say .... I will never get that time back, wish I had cracked one out instead.

The fuel pump on my diesel saxo is leaking I have sourced another one but swapping it over looks a little complicated for me to attempt on my own So was wondering if anyone can help me, don't really want to take it to a garage as I would like to have a bash myself and ideally need it for work tonight. P.S its the locking of the camshaft, crankshaft and injection pump sprocket that's the problem as if I mess it up the engine is scrap.

Before you buy it you have to get planning permission lol Its actually one of the few functional spoilers, it aids rear traction that's not because it creates down force but by the sheer weight of it.

How does the change in gearing affect the acceleration? Is it noticeable?

I would go back asap and get a photo of it (use something next to it so you gauge its true size), write to your local highways agency and get them to pay for the repairs !! That's what I would do, its disgusting the state of the roads today.
