After the untimely demise of the saxo pimp wagon I have been looking for another car to run as my daily but as is sods law nothing is for sale within budget. Then a proton wira is up for sale within in budget just wondering if anyone knows anything about them? After a little research it has the Mitsubishi engine they use in the lancer and evo. Thanks.

I spoke to the guy who made that quite a bit when trying to find out how many uk specs are still registered in the UK, he uses information from the vehicle licensing statistics which uses DVLA databases.

Unless you drive dangerously I can't see the aerotop being a problem, its not as stiff as a hard top but it is still a good chassis. Its only a bit wobbly when the roofs out anyway when in place its the same as a hard top. A nice bpu auto would be a lovely cruiser with enough power on tap to embarrass most cars on the road.

Fair enough but when people see it they will think it is a half hearted attempt as its one of the first things they see, that's what I would see anyway. It may not be the case but I think if they haven't done that properly what else have they bodged. This is in no one way saying the OP is bodging anything but if you were to see the vehicle that is how it would come across.

Not having a dig but there seems to be a lot of this lately, people putting in loads of effort into the mechanical but scrimping on the cheaper cosmetic things. If your going to do it then do it right, this of course is just my opinion.
