As has been stated it sounds like an air lock to me. I believe the fact that it doesn't have a bleed nipple makes it slightly more tricky to get all the air out. I think it was Dunk who told me to park on a hill or jack the front of the car up to make it easier.

He has a UK Spec so the safe maximum is 1.4 as supranature said, the UK's have steel turbines and can withstand higher boost. Safe maximum for JSpecs is 1.2 bar. So no tears will be shed here.

I have read some official Toyota documents on the 2JZ and that stated it was non interference, I would trust Toyota over autodata. Must be human error when it was added.

The bonnet scoop has nothing to do with the air intake it is there to direct air on to the manifold. -

I have standard setup with standard fluid and the stopping power is epic no need for flashy looking 6 pots which will add to unsprung weight. Also get your car on the UK spec register the link is in my signature.

I know exactly what this is, its like when you try to feed a small child vegetables and they put their arms up to stop you. The Supra is using it crash bar to stop you putting that bumper on to save its dignity.

How far was the destination? Have you run the car really low on fuel ? If so could be crap in the fuel lines / injectors / filter.

I am suprised this thread has lasted so long without it getting too out of control. I suppose pretty girls in fast cars will always get people hot under the collar and cause a bit of a stir. I bet the subscribed list for this thread is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge.
