sorry crap wording on my part I meant between manufacturers, are you just paying for the name? Where are the best jacking point ? Don't really want to use the stock location as it will just make a mess as its designed for the stock jack

I used to use my dads stands but he only had two and always lends them to his brothers !!! One of them has had them for god knows how long so I have been using just the trolley jack which isn't ideal to say the least !!! So I am going to purchase some and wanted to know which ones to get, will be getting a set of four.

Hi Kev you should add your car to the uk spec register we have here, you will need to be a member to go into the members section though. Or if you drop me a pm with the reg number (not displayed on forum), date of first registration (on V5), Transmission, Colour (original factory), Mileage and any comment about it (usually defining features i.e. respray, visual / power mods). I got embarrassed by an old 740 the other day it had turbo bricks stickers all over it and was sporting some serious power. I was only in the Daily Astra but boy did it shift when he floored it !!! -

This is my ideal car if I could afford the insurance I would have it !! But all the vaseline in all the world would not be enough lubrication when I speak to the insurance company. -
If you put 12 months mot on it you will sell it much faster and get closer to the asking price. People get put off in case it turns into a money pit to get it through the mot.

The Vin plate is on the left hand side of the engine bay as you look at it from the front write down the last seven digits of it and I can tell you when it was made.
