  1. Who let the ugly ducklings in? Really goes to show that the Supra has aged extremely well! To be fair to the MKV, designers are more constrained these days to fit into all the millions of regs and safety standards. Nice to finally these starting to happen again though.
  2. It'll be as if it rolled off the production line yesterday when it's done, attention to details is brilliant. Keep the updates coming.
  3. But reading that link, hopefully if there are enough cars that are not E10 compatible they will keep Super E5
  4. That super unleaded will be E10 in 4 years, I am worrying for 4 years time
  5. I don't I run it on V Power
  6. Some interesting reading here, it's looking you have to have a chemistry lab in your boot every time you fill up! I wonder how much it would cost to have the Supra fuel system made e10 compatible? https://www.fbhvc.co.uk/fuels
  7. @oxygene can you confirm if there is any other advice you need from members before I bring this thread to a timely close? I feel it has served it's purpose now, neither party believes they are at fault, any number of posts or opinions aren't going to change that fact. There are 2 courses of action, take it on the chin as a life lesson and move on or take it court to plead your case. James is no longer on the forum, so there is nothing that the club can do about this, it's just going round in circles. I'd take this time to make an important note, this club is a community of enthusiasts, the club facilitate that community by arranging events and hosting this online forum. We do not recommend or endorse any hobbyists or traders, that is done by our members in a democratic way. The club is not a shop, auction house or trader, we are not affiliated in any way with our traders and have no vested interest in them. If on the rare occasion there is a disagreement, we facilitate an open two way conversation to help reach a resolution. We are not a legal body or legal practitioner and as such, have no legal powers should you not be able to reach a mutual agreement. At this point you will need to take advice from appropriate sources to decide a course of action, which may or may not be court. Ultimately, any services/parts/sales are done at your own risk, it is your responsibility to do your due diligence and protect yourself as much reasonably practicable.
  8. Yes, there were some other posts that have since been removed.
  9. Thread back open again, Paul is having a short break from the forum so we can all calm down a bit. We will be watching this thread closely, please keep it civil and factual. Any further posts with abusive or threatening content will be removed and perpetrators will receive lengthy bans, it may also result in this thread being locked if it stops being useful.
  10. It would be handy to have some sort propeller to slowly keep the fuel moving to keep it from separating.
  11. It just feels like when you have a builder come over to do an estimate, they don't want the job, so give you a high price to put you off. Next thing will be, we made all these parts and they didn't sell so we are closing program down.
  12. What would be a great compromise is if anything pre 2000 could still get 95 from the pumps with a dyed fuel, so the same principles as red diesel for farmers. Police would love that as I am sure it would be a fruitful revenue stream for them. However it will never happen.
  13. Sounds like the next wave of innovation for those with the know how. There are going to be thousands of classic car owners needing a cost effective solution, whether that's fuel additives or replacement parts.
  14. Only for 4 more years though, until super unleaded also becomes E10.
  15. Just bumping this as I saw an advert about this today. I doubt it will make a difference to us, as super unleaded becomes more popular we might even see a price drop on it. For other cars, it will be the same situation when leaded fuel was banned, cars will just be converted to run on E10. Someone, somewhere will find a way to make it work.
  16. Welcome to the club! What rear wing is that?
  17. I would be careful doing this, my insurance policy does not allow anyone else to drive the car, even third party. Also I would not dream of doing that these days when NA's are selling for 5 figures. There is a reason that insurance cover is changing for these cars, you need only look at the sky rocketing value. You can't really blame insurers for not wanting to provide cover for a weekend blast for young drivers on a car that is not theirs or that they don't have reasonable experience of driving. I wouldn't dream of doing anything "cheeky" in these cars now, most owners won't be able to afford a replacement if the insurer doesn't pay out or low balls them.
  18. Just clocked on that this is actually a UK spec car @Smads and the lowest mileage UK manual car in the country by quite a margin too with 29,868 miles on it. Although when you say just dug it out, you mean 12 months ago when it had it's MOT ?
