  1. For some collectors yes, originality is more important and for some, low miles is important. For others a restored example is worth more as long as it’s done right.
  2. I am always keeping an eye for Supra's in the classifieds for Agreed Valuation purposes and to see if any new UK cars pop up. There have only been 2 UK manuals for sale this Year, one at auction that sold for £47,250 mentioned above with lots of work done and another red one with low miles (48k miles) at £50k (unknown final sale price). Being UK Spec's biggest fan boy, I would be first on the band wagon to tell you if I genuinely believed it was worth £60, £65 or £70k , but it's just not an accurate reflection of the market right now. But I strongly advise you to do your own research and put it on for what you want for it even if the conclusion of that is £70k Jason is right, it is definitely a sellers market right now but the audience has also changed significantly. There's nothing to really compare it to right now apart from Jason's car, but potential buyers are also not going to have anything but past adverts to compare it to and conclude that it is way more than those that have sold before, assuming you are getting carried away with yourself. Catch 22.
  3. Completely agree, there are expensive cars that have awful interiors!
  4. Lancaster do to https://www.lancasterinsurance.co.uk/my-quote/laid-upsorn-cover/
  5. I managed a quick google, I wasn't imagining things. This is the first one in the results so there will be many more that do. https://www.footmanjames.co.uk/laid-up-insurance
  6. The same can be said for those who are selling, looking to get top money I gain nothing by offering an honest and informed opinion, I am not looking to buy or sell, the only vested interest I have is in Agreed Valuations which would mean that the higher the value the better for me. Whilst it may cost that to import a new one, it does not automatically mean that one already here can be pitched at that price but it also doesn't mean it can't. The number of people looking to spend that kind of money on a Supra is an ever dwindling pool, many of whom already own one. Has anyone seen a supra sell for more then £50k in the UK, not advertised but actually sold for that price?
  7. Agreed. Things like body kits (what's lurking beneath), seals, pipes, intercooler, suspension bits etc would all need a good check over as well as the normal things. Parts are not cheap and you could easily be £1000's in for a handful of bits if they need replacing.
  8. I think unless it's incredibly low miles and completely original then anything north of £55k is a tall order. £70k in todays market is just dreaming in my opinion, I haven't seen anything advertised above £65k and that was for a low miles fresh import. £60k is the most I have seen a UK up for.
  9. I don't think the engine is an issue, it's a great proven engine and sounds just as good as any other straight 6. It's not a supercar, so the performance figures are respectable for a GT coupe. The biggest disappoint for me is the interior, my wife's A class is far more luxurious and is a much nicer place to be at 2/3rds of the price. In fact my Kia Ceed has a nicer interior, you spend far more time looking at the interior than you do the outside and I don't think I could live with it. A Cayman T is the same price and the interior looks like a £50k+ car.
  10. Hi, When we moved the forum over to the new site, we revised membership and removed the life time membership option. Those who already have life time membership can continue to have this and we gave existing members a grace period to upgrade to lifetime membership after which it would no longer be available. We informed members of the proposed changes and made members aware of the of the grace period upgrade. It is now unfortunately no longer an option to upgrade to lifetime membership.
  11. I believe you can get laid up insurance if you aren’t using it on the road, not sure who does it though.
  12. I saw one in the dealership but haven’t seen one on the road, I thought the car looked boring and I don’t like the front end. Toyota really dropped the ball when co designing the car, with all the noise on how amazing the FT1 concept looked then they create what is an average looking car at best. I’d definitely be looking elsewhere if I had that kind of money for a sports coupe, probably an M2 competition.

    F1 2021

Mother of god, makes you wince watching that. I was going to complain about the marshalling until you realise that all 3 impacts happened in less than 4 seconds.
  14. The adverts 25 weeks old, when did you get it?
  15. Very unlikely, a trader would have snapped his hand off.
  16. Agreed value came back, £40,000 which I was disappointed with. So I have lodged an appeal with additional evidence to support what I want, which is £50,000 but realistically I'll be happy with £45,000 plus. I shall report back again with the result, depending on how they do with the agreed value this year I might be better off paying twice the premium for a better agreed value.
  17. Another reason why I haven't. We are in a strange place at the moment where prices are still increasing but the governments green agenda may impact that. I'll re-evaluate in 4 years when they decide what they are doing with super unleaded.
  18. Doubt it, given the current price trajectory I'd have to win the lottery to get another
  19. Fantastic transformation! Hit the jackpot now until it hits the street and Jamie makes it squeal

    Audi Q7

Is that for customer service or dodgy cars?
  21. It's a real tough one, I guess for me it will take a change in circumstances i.e. Starting a family, to really get me thinking about seriously selling it or someone making an offer that I can't refuse.
  22. Always nice when it is a relatively easy fix!

    Window Seals

It doesn't show it for the rear though but I assume it looks like the same thing?
