    Maths question

Ignore me I am wrong but it was over 6 years since I have done this I was just going by memory but alas it has failed me. I am going to go make some spaghetti to make myself feel better

    Maths question

Yes but you could prove it if you wanted to but I am not that bothered TBH, I don't mind mate if you want to work it out just have a read of some basic maths books or google to your hearts content

    Maths question

I have the right answer and it doesn't ask for working, I could waste an hour to write it all out but I can't be bothered
  5. Supras don't seem to mind hibernation Glad you got her running !! Will be a good thread, will be watching closely good luck.

    Maths question

You could use trig but you can see by looking at it that its an Isosceles triangle plus if it wasn't it again would be impossible to solve. Its just using some maths and a bit of common sense.

    Maths question

My picture isn't accurate as I am naff at drawing but in the original it touches the top exactly. If it didn't it would be impossible to work out. Use a ruler it does touch the top even if at first glance it doesn't look like it does.

    Maths question

see above picture its easier than trying to explain it

    Maths question

Use right angled traingle (red) to work out one side of the isosceles triangle (green) which then gives you the height of the main triangle (as two sides of the triangle are the same length) which you use pythagoras on. (3^2)+(1.5^2)= ~3.35 (12.5^2)-(3.35^2)= 145 which is ~12.04 squared

    Maths question

You only need two triangle, one right agled to work out the length of the isosceles triangle which is the height of the ladder then apply Pythagoras theorem to find out the length of the base
  11. What sizes are you running and are you on standard unrolled arches?
  12. In the recent winds even though it was strapped down tight it has rubbed and made a mess of certain areas of paintwork on the arches !! I wouldn't bother with a cover and just wait til you have a garage. Or you can take your luck and hope it won't damage your paintwork.
  13. Whats it under I did a search but to no avail, oh well
  14. I mentioned in the other thread about this car that it was a Toyota press vehicle so you are correct.
  15. And you haven't told me about these because? I afraid you're fired

    Maths question

you are right it is root 145 which is roughly 12.0415945788. Quickest way to prove is to make an Iscoceles triangle to work out how high the ladder is off the floor (roughly 3.35) then its just pythagoras theorem.

    noob

Don't think I have seen that colour combo before. Got any better pictures?

    Got camber?

For peace of mind I would or if you know which house it is then let them know. Someone might have tried to steal it, it may only be 30 or 40 quid but that's another fix or meal for someone. Its hard times so expect catalytic conveter theft, fuel syphoning and wheel theft to be on the rise. My dad's work van fleet (Merc Sprinters) have to keep there spare wheels in the loading bay becuase they were getting stolen from under the van. They need special load bearing tyres that are well over 100 quid each think they about 180 or therabouts and one had the cat stolen. The cats are insanely expensive don't know exactly but it was more viable to claim off the insurance than to buy a new one !!

    Got camber?

Did you inform the driver ? At least by way of a note on the windscreen? I know alot of people who would just jump in and not really have a look around the car like your supposed to!! Me included if i'm in a rush.
